They changed the secret dev room in Sports Story

Seems like a nice place to work.
This is on version 1.0.4, for which one of the patch notes was "Blocked access to the secret dev room.". But it's not really blocked.

Are we being encouraged to go on a wild goose chase looking for a way to access the jungle using the ferry? That seems to be what the dialogue implies. That the “dream game” is in there, in the cut content. Almost definitely taking the piss, but it’s a funny troll.

I went to finish this game last weekend and I was surprised to see they updated it A Third Time, putting it in bounds on the map and making fun of the media being hypercritical and examining of it. Which is funny.

I think this is a marketing ploy to make people talk about the game and the press to make articles about it. They explicetely mention the changes even in the patchnotes, meaning it was approved by the managers.
