I identify with Anna wondering how to start that one - each gym seems to have different start/finish rules for bouldering, I'd love to see it more common to have this spelled out on signs at the entry way. Like, how do I identify a two-hold start, or if volumes are on, and if I match the last hold or go for the top of the wall? Sometimes even just getting a new setter at the gym can make this confusing for regulars.

Thank you Louis for mentioning grading being about physical intensity when done well, not about the technical side. Obviously with higher grade climbs the technical aspect increases, but slab is exceedingly demonstrative of this where even a low grade slab is hard unless done well, and compensating with pure physical intensity is even worse.

mostly this happens when you climb up high with your hands before moving your feet up. But in some weird body positions and situations it is necessary. Nothing to be embarrassed about though, climbing is all about finding and remembering different body positions and applying them to routes. That's why we call them "problems". Happy climbing!
