Sarah, another great video, keep them coming. From what I can see from the video, gram's radiator support looks structurally sound. Don't change it, clean the rust up and maybe shoot some of the green on it before you clear coat the engine bay. Buy some of the matching green, You are going to find other areas that will need touch up. Prep them and then shoot them all at once.

The bar hanging from the engine hoist is suppose to be in line with the engine, turning the crank handle positioned at the front allows you to tilt the engine for easier removal. You might want to pull the heads and get'em checked, they have a history of cracking between the valves.

Oddly, I just replaced my clutch fan and radiator, the nut came off rather easily. I used a huge channel locks to take that nut off. Further, The valve cover replacement should be way easy, compared to what you just did. LOL. Great Video. Awesome job. I subbed you.

hey Sarah, you're gonna hate this because it damages the clutch fan nut pretty bad, but the way I usually get them off is with an air hammer and a long chisel bit. You've gotta be careful because some are reverse threaded so you need to know which side to hit, but you go down from the top and basically dig into the side of the nut and it'll break it free. It leaves a big scrape in the side of the nut but it's really only cosmetic damage, the nut isn't structurally compromised. I tighten them back down the same way. Since the engine will usually turn over with less force than those nuts take to get off it's the only efficient way to do it since I'm on the clock at work.

Check the Ford service manual you got for this truck for the direction to turn the fan clutch nut to loosen it. Some were left-hand threaded. That being said, some can be so stuck that you have to cut them off, but most do eventually come off.... usually after you have cut the skin off a couple of knuckles after slipping and punching the fan a few times (don't ask me how I know that).

My father owned a garage for over 60 years and we pulled a lot of motors. We always removed the fans first, but then we also had to be able to slide the engine forward off of the transmission. It helps a lot if you adjust the chains so the engine hangs level, then you can pull it straight up. Unlike the current trend of pulling engine and transmission as a unit, which requires you to remove radiator and core support, we always just pulled engine and left the radiator and transmission in the vehicle. We had a hoist hanging from a crane rail in the ceiling too.
