We've seen quite a few remakes of classic Predator models over the last couple of years, but none more so than the Accelerator. There have been 5 remakes since 2015, but we now have a 6th, and it's the best one yet! Too much of a good thing? I don't think so.
In today's video we take a closer look at the limited edition Adidas Predator Accelerator 20, as part of the Eternal Class pack, a mostly black remake of the 1998 Accelerator upper, paired with the soleplate and stud pattern from the latest Predator model. Two boots, 23 years apart, coming together to make what is definitely a Frankenstein boot, but in the best way possible. Are they worth the $350 price tag and are these still a viable pair of football boots to wear in 2021? Let's talk about that. Are they making too many remakes?

Are yours a sample or someting or the soleplate shines different in person than in video? The soleplate on mine looks a lot more chromed and shinny. I love how this boot looks and the band on the tongue is so David Beckham. I never had an issue with the Accelerator tongue as it was, but the strap actually makes me feel like the boots are pro issued

I skipped this one as I'm not a fan of the colorway and at that pricetag you gotta love what you're buying. Would much rather see the white or red Accelerators, but glad they added the strap and the split sole. The price sucks but part of the problem are the many people buying these just to turn them immediately for profit. They also need to number these to justify the limited edition tag as they never seem to fully come clean on the number released. Great stuff as always Josh.

If you are looking for a Predator for a much cheaper price with some HEFT to it. The predator 20.2 is really solid, very comfortable, lots of grip and heavy so very protective.

I dont know where else to post this. So essentially my problem is, no matter what boots I buy, brand, stud style, whatever, they seem to break within 6 months. The issue is that while playing on AG surfaces, the tiny black plastic bits get in between the sole plate an the upper and slowly separate the two. This is always covered under warranty but its frustrating to return boots and wait every half year. I feel that if I take any preventativeeasure such as gluing the seam shut, the warranty will be void. Any experience with this issue and advice?

If you're playing regularly, especially on artificial grass, 6 months is about what you should expect from just about any boots, especially if you're harder on your boots to begin with. There isn't anything you can do to be proactive on enhancing the durability either.
