Steam powers this engine. What then does the engine power? I’m sure some people are rolling their eyes, but I listened twice and still don’t understand what Pabst was using it for. 62 yrs of service that’s impressive. Thank you J and L.

They used it to generate electricity. In that time period, most large factories operated their own power plants

Have you ever visited the Mayer/Messer Mill in Richfield, Wisconsin? That whole mill was ordered as a kit from EP Allis and even has a few pieces of equipment added towards the end of its operating years that actually have the Allis Chalmers brand on them. The mill site is now owned and displayed by the Richfield Historical Society in Mid-September during their Thresheree
