When the D17 comes around the end of the field and the sun hits it, what a beautiful thing. Thank J and L.

Neighbor had hogs, he picked with a New Idea uni system, first with a GMC gas, then with a 301 allis diesel. Said it was dumb to throw away cobs in the field, and then buy filler to add back in to grind with the feed.

Used to buy corn from a neighbouring farmer to feed the pigs as a bit of a boost now and then . Great video 👍🏴

So, which is the most fun, running this classic or running your N6? I love them both. Thanks for sharing.

That's a tough one, really enjoy both of them!

Nice, looks like it worked pretty darn good. Plow day coming up? My Dad clung to ear corn for a long time, said he liked the cob in the ground feed for the fat cattle. Grinding it every Saturday morning in the old Wards hammer-mill took a lot of my hearing. I've got a D-17 with flat-top fenders too, doesn't look as nice as yours though.

Yep, plow days coming up real soon!

Ear corn is back in fashion for some people, for the reason that it adds healthy roughage to cow feed mix.

Is this picker supposed to leave the husks on the cob? I see a fan not operating above the crop flow... thanks for sharing :)
@JandLVideos26 күн бұрын
Yeah, she's not a very clean picker. The belt for the fan needs to be replaced

The sweet corn pickers had covers for the husking rolls. Are Allis rolls all steel?
