The amount of ppl I see on transition timelines who feel like they've plateaued - meanwhile, they're before and after pictures from even 1 year HRT VS 2 years are startlingly different. Dysphoria tricks the brain, as well as beauty standards. Its hard to see the forest from the trees. Please make sure you're enjoying the ride. You're gorgeous and everything else you'll get from your transition is just the cherry ontop.
You also have to consider that they probably see themselves every single day, and that makes it harder to see gradual changes.

Just remember no one has only one year of puberty. For me, I found injections gave me a major boost when I stopped taking E orally. You've definitely also have had nice weight distribution to your thighs like you mentioned so the E is definitely working. Light some candles and breathe. You're beautiful and only getting more femme each and every day. Enjoy the journey :)

You're doing great so far it seems! I consider myself trans (I think) but I'm not out IRL. I've done like, body hair removal, makeup, clothes but that's about it mostly. I'm out online in places. I'm feeling it out. I definitely struggle with dysphoria. I kinda want to do HRT but I'm worried I might not see results where I'm happy (it's wild though because body wise, other than bulky shoulders I'm mostly okay with my body.) Keep in mind too that there's rectangle shaped cisgirls that don't really have curves. It does suck but I've learned just finding the right clothes makes ya feel a lot better. I tend to go larger on the shirts, and avoid bottoms that are skin tight. Flowy, layered skirts are nice. Anyways. I've seen a ton of timelines and you can very well glow up in the next year, just be patient. I've seen some remarkable waist changes in year 1-2 and 2-3 and overall. Especially face. Idk how much there is to it but you can maybe try weight distributing or whatever, I forget what it's called. You basically cut carbs down for a bit and lose fat then bulk back up and overtime I guess it's supposed to cut down on the fat in places that your previous T placed and moves it to E zones. Something like that. You look great, you slay with that makeup, you have a cute nose, you got this!

Hey Polar. I am a year on HRT. I am much older so my experience is going to be different than yours. I also feel like I have plateaued some, but I feel optimistic about more changes going into my second year on HRT. You should too. I have had laser epilation on my beard and it is much less dense, but I have a lot of grey and will need electrolysis. My hairline and density has changed, more because of treatments like derma rolling, Minoxidil, Viviscal, and message. My understanding is that HRT will not help with head hair, though it may be different the younger you are. Polar, I think you a very pretty and do not need to lower your hairline - it is just fine. Also, I think the length is nice, though I understand how you would like it longer. I have not seen a whole lot of change to my body shape. It is nice that my breasts have gotten to a B cup. My skin is softer and muscle tone diminished which I find very affirming. I too am hoping the changes in muscle tone and breast development will make my shoulders and upper body less masculine, though I realize that is something I may have to live with. I have begun feminizing my voice with help from someone on-line. This has been very affirming. I think you would benefit greatly from it and is worth the money. As far as FFS is concerned, I think about it, but given my age and lack of support, this may be difficult. I hope I feminize to a point where FFS is not necessary to pass. It is hard to say how much I pass. I have had mixed experiences with it. I would love to have bottom surgery without all the hassle, but know that is not possible. I do not think that is in the cards for me given my age, but who knows. The only other thing I would add is that lately my feminine identity has strengthened. It has always been there, but recently any doubts I had about transitioning have diminished. I used to feel like a woman most the time and other times not much like anything. I am finding harder to imagine what it was like to be a man. I am not sure if this is solely a result of the HRT. I think my voice feminization has a lot to do with it along the hair removal and fuller head hair. Certainly, the HRT is key, but other factors come into play as well. Transitioning takes time. It is hard. One year on HRT is not all that long. I have heard so many stories of accelerating changes in the second and third years of HRT. Building confidence also has been important for me through my transition. We have to be patient as difficult as that is. As someone has advised me, enjoy the ride through it all. Know you are much better off because you have made the decision to transition. Now, when I look back I realize there was no other alternative to live in a satisfying way.

I hope you’re doing well! I’m a trans man and I also feel like I plateaued, but I’m hoping it accelerates soon. Much love! ❤❤ Good luck with the rest of your HRT journey :)))

I'm older but "better late than never" as the old adage goes. I'm 5 months into my HRT so it'll be a while before I can 'live the life' full time. I'm investing in the clothing, makeup, quality human-hair wigs, I've done bodily hair removal nose to toes. Addressing my facial beard hair will require electrolysis. I just finished my 3rd hair transplant. I have hopes, one day, of having my own hair be "enough". Everything in due time. I just know this is something I've aced to do since about age 11 when I 1st started cross dressing. Cheers.

Every time I think about the issue, as a man over 50, I can't help but feel amazed and admired by the level of courage and commitment of trans people, who keep going despite all the difficulties. Something you haven't talked about regarding your transition is your libido levels. Has your desire decreased, is it the same, or has it increased? Just that, and continue being as beautiful as ever.

Good luck. I'm at about month 5 on HRT. But, I've been looking forward to this voyage for a lifetime. The culture is finally where it needs to me as well as the healthcare system here in the US. I've craved femininity since I was a child and started cross dressing by age 11. I'm a gynesexual. I'm only attracted to femininity regardless of the architecture inside a pair of panties. Masculinity abrades my soul. I've always been comfortable with 'the girls'. I've loved looking at their style and asking them questions about this hair, makeup, thoughts on clothing choices, etc. Now I ache to be 'one of the tribe'!

@njlauren11 ай бұрын
A couple of thoughts for you. When you are in the middle of transition you often can't really see the changes, you look in the mirror and say 'I see me'. Btw that is even true of ppl around you when you transition, it is like the frog in the pot noticing the water slowly getting warmer. Yet someone who hasnt seen you will say 'wow, you look so different' . Another thing is that everyone is different with transition, the timing and effects wildly differ. When cis women go through puberty, they develop very differently from each other. Some girls go from training bras to Ds by 8th grade, other girls are flat then yrs in,boom...same w trans girls. All develop differently. In my case , for whatever reaaons, my body us sensitive to hormones, reactive. I was on the standard dose of 5mg of hormone, i think 175 of spiro. My blood estrogen levels were sky high, endo dropped it to 2.5, it still was at the high end, at times considered dropping it to 1.75. other girls took the same dose, and their blood levels were low. Idk if that sensitivity to HRT was the cause,but given my age ( late 30s), it surprised the endo. Within 9 months I was a solid B and the next year was a C, on the tanner scale I was pretty much done. another girl i knew, who was like 10 yrs older, developed Ds.. other girls saw slower changes, everyone is different. 14 months isnt that long. Are you using a doctor or self doing it? If a doctor, are they a gp, or an endo? Reason I ask is there could be a reason you are not experiencing change if you feel it is too slow. It isnt just blood levels of estrogen/ t, it could be other metabolic factors. I am not an MD, but I worked with an endo who literally wrote books on sex hormones, papers, worked with trans ppl starting in the early 70s. I learned from him how complicated the endocrine system is, and how many cofactors are involved. 14 mths is still early in the process, adolescance takes years, so this really is saying talk to your md, if you are using one. Progresterone is important, especially with breast development. There also an optimal ratio between progesterone and estrogen as well that could effect development. The type of estrogen may be involved, i was on premarin, in had qualms about using ut, switched to estrace, and it was aweful, like the worst menopause you could imagine ( i couldnt stand it, switched back). So it could be what you are taking isnt optimal for your particular body. Again, pure speculation based on what I have seen and read. With body development it is also sadly genetic. My mom and sister were well developed body wise so that prob set the target. If your mom and other women genetically related are smaller,/ less curvy, you likely will be. I think you look a lot better than you think you do. With the hair you have grown in you already look great and the hrt already has you looking pretty darn cute, you come together very well. One hint about women in general, when women look wt themselves they tend to be very critical, they see the wrinkles snd lumps and whetever, where someone else looks at them and says ',you look great!'. With hair removal, laser is still not as effective as electro. It is quicker and cheaper, but it leaves a lot of follicles alive ( on hrt, new follicles dont form ir very few do). You may need electro to get rid if what laser doesnt. On a closing note, do you remember what it was like growing up, how especially as a teen we just wanted to grow up and be able to do things? Transition is like that and it just seems to drag, and take forever bc in a sense no matter their age, pll in transtion are like a teen, want to grow up so they can be themselves, and like a teen can feel like it is happening at a snails pace😊. Was like that myself

Breast wise changes happen for years and years. But if your not having much change and your levels are OK and progesterone isn't doing anything that's a bit odd. Are you doing injections? those tend to be more effective. I can relate a lot to the hairline thing...i have a male hairline as well which I don't think has changed in the 5 months of hrt I've done. Hair transplsns are probably something I'll need eventually. I think your hair looks great though! But if it makes you feel better I think you're totally gorgeous and like goals. It's important to keep a few things in mind: 1) Realistic body standards- not everyone is going to look like a supermodel right away, even the supermodels themselves (some people spend obscene amounts of money on plasitc surgeries, fitness coaches, etc. to look like they do). 2) Dysphoria is a BITCH- body dysphoria causes people to think they aren't getting any results, that they are plateauing, etc. when in reality they are making SHOCKING progress when you look at it from an outside perspective, especially comparing before and after photos. 3) Communication is important- if you really feel like there might be some issues, like you stopped making progress and so on talk about it with your doctor and see if it is real or your mind playing games with you. It is completely fine to adjust if you need it. Everyone has different needs. As far as my wholly unprofessional opinion goes you are beautiful and I get gender envy looking at them thighs! @@KamillaMirabelle"It is not unhealthy at all.. it is just the body reacting to the hormon changes in our body.." Well, you'll get weaker anyway as you age, provided that you stay alive. Probably (at least to a large degree) due to hormone changes, but at least that's natural. So intentionally speeding up that process appears to be idiotic, to say the least. It seems to be a form of self-harm. Thus it should be proscribed.

@@knrdvmmlbkkn you are not speeding anything up, you just get the muscle/fat ratio of a female.. if you are a ftm trangender you will gain muscles.. I'm transgender and i know it sound nuts to get hormon replacement therapy and surgeries.. i tried for more than 35 years to "stay normal", but found that my mental health was getting so bad because of my genderdysohoria, that i ended up choosing to transition.. i got a degree in mathematics and i can say that the probability of getting a shorter lifespan by getting hormons than an average person are high.. the probability of being physically assaulted are much higher, the probability of being ostracized by family and friends are high.. even in Denmark which are a relatively pro LGBT+ friendly country.. so do not think that most transpeople do this for fun.. we do because it help us despite the facts above.. we do it because the risks for us seems less bad than the alternative.. Hormon therapy are no joke and should NEVER be taken lightly, surgeries of any kind are risky. And no i do not think that kids should start hormons before the age of 16 and ONLY in consultants with multiple healthcare professionals for at least a year..

Progesterone causes extra hair loss 🤦♀️ stay on hormones for longer and you’ll be good Can’t expect to gain a whole different body in little over a year By the way I’m trans and on estrogen and cyprotorone for blockers Since cyprotorone is permanent The spiro was not effective at all

"Can’t expect to (...) over a year" Or, for that matter, under any circumstances.
