The Holy Kingdom arc will be covered in the upcoming film it seems, but in the LN that story arc came before this current arc we are seeing in the anime. In the LN it talks about how Nigredo is modelled after those Japanese horror ghost like from The Ring or Ju-on, she’s a mother always looking for her baby, she loves all babies and wants to save them all (that’s how her character was written) while Pestonia the dog maid is just a good hearted individual and doesn’t agree with the senseless killing, they were both caught trying to save some kids from The time citizens were kidnapped and taken into Nazerick in the early seasons. The anime mentioned their names but didn’t go into details.

Its less that Nigredo has compassion for humans, but moreso that she just likes babies. But once they reach a certain age, she only sees them as meat bags that have no value. Tabula Smaragdina, who created Albedo and Nigredo, was a huge fan of contradicting appearances and horror themes. For example, Albedo _looks_ like a kind and merciful woman, but is really a vindictive, unforgiving bitch. Nigredo appears to be a horrifying, violent Grudge monster, but is capable of caring for infants.

"That man is no longer by your side" she probably referred to Gazef Stronoff that was the king's bodyguard and an adamantite level warrior so that probably helped the king keep a cool head and not make rash decisions like offering his life for that of a thief. Also everyone in that room definitely saw the fight and that the warrior and knight were killed. In season 1 Ainz was looking at Carne village with Mirror of Remote Viewing that was also used in the 2nd season to spy on the lizardman, later after the Swords of Darkness adventurers were killed and Narberal searched for the missing adventurer plates, found them in the cemetery area, then used Clairvoyance and Crystal Monitor so Ainz could see what was happening in the cemetery. And if you go back to minute 08.07 Ainz said "All of you should watch this next battle", so they clearly had ways to monitor what was happening outside the tomb if they wanted to, they were pretty much watching the war on tv at home.

I like that there are other characters in Nazarick that have clashing personalities and don't immediately hate humans. They all have their extensive backgrounds made by their creators so it is a balancing act to have them feel comfortable being at home while still pledging their loyalty to Ainz. This was a good example of their personal traits being taken into account similar to Shalltear's hentai traits or Entoma trying to not use her real voice.

It isn't really said, but death knights have a passive that'll let them survive a huge attack and survive with 1 hp kinda like sturdy in pokemon So basically it will take a minimum of 2 hits to kill a death knight so that head shot fucked it up but it survived with 1 hp. They were basically used as fodder shields in YGGDRASIL since they survive 2 hits

Fun Fact The "Alb" in Albedo origins from the latin word for white (also that´s were the word Albino comes from). The "Nig" in Nigredo origins from the latin word for black (like the bad N word, a river in africa and others). And the latin word for red is rubrum, rubis are named after that.

I assumed alot of things would be skipped, but DAAAMN so much was cut :o First i'd like to point out that all those villages that were crossed out, Ainz had let the Guardians practise strategy on villages by giving them a set amount of forces and telling them to come up with different strategies to make them fall. For an example, one of the attacks was carried out by using the frost dragons to airdrop Soul eaters(The "yellow horses" that you saw drag Albedos carriage to the kingdom earlier in the season) Seeing as they collect souls from the vicinity, you can guess what happened to that village xD Secondly, just a small fun fact. Ainz is incredibly cost efficient. The entire army that showed up in this episode(except for the 2 death knights" are zombiefied villagers from villages they've already gone through. Keeping this in mind, Ainz managed to draw out someone who can deal with a death knight with relative ease, with almost no cost at all. Third, the adventurers.. The anime makes it look like they actually put in work. In reality they were having a HAAARD time dealing with just the first death knight(Wich is understandable since their levels should be somewhere around 30 whilst the death knights are what? 45?) Their utter despair as the other adventurers reported that the second one started moving just is not there, wich gives the impression that they are matching the death knight better then they are supposed to, it's abit of a shame :S On the other hand i was surprised to see them actually show the bit with Nigredo as her earlier interactions(Like how to properly enter her room using a baby doll to not get attacked and such things) were all not included in the animes previous seasons. As far as the statement regarding the movie that's coming out. Accurately speaking it takes place before episode 8. Also, was Ruby Drop changed to Vermillion Drop? I can't come up with a reason behind that one :o

This is one series that takes the concept of a "legendary creature" and shows it well. Many normal isekai anime, super beast very dangerous omg bad we gon die, hero "gg no re to ez" done. Build up hype killed because anime hero go Brrrplg. But the death knight in overlord though. We see its first appearance, it is called a "DEFENDER" and it wrecks house with some clean animation and even cleaner choreography. We come later on to the next appearance, a legendary undead that is extremely dangerous, alright build up calling it scary, seen where this goes. Seasons go by and all we see is them being worn as a fashion cape of power by momonga (ainz), still not showing why they are scary. THIS FUCKING SEASON, dear god. We see with clean animation just how savage and dangerous these mutha fuckas are. Clean sweeping a bunch of iron skin beasts and then being shown that they can die was well played but it is even more so by how savagely and intelligently they take their orders. Boi being falling to his death and he still double tapping others that fell with them to make sure they die before the land and even trying to kill non falling creatures too. Then we have this episode, the episode that rewards the wait of their merited title of being legendary, this terminator just keeps getting more and more savage and i love they are now my favorite undead, next to ainz.

The hilarious thing is that in terms of the undead summons Ainz can create, Death Knights are still kind of mid. In Yggdrasil they were basically just used as meat shields to absorb a couple of attacks and give you time to cast a better spell. But they’re also one of Ainz’ favourite summons because he’s all about the aesthetic

nigredo, Pestonya, Sebas, Yuri Alpha; are the only NPCs in the great tomb that have positive, values. nigredo despite her looks she's actually a very doting individual she prefers babies or young humans but she's very caring person despite her terrifying appearance of course though if you want to know why she looks like that that's because of the supreme one that created her albedo and the younger sister. nigredo no one actually knows if her existence was entirely a joke or if she was created this way intentionally but think of mashing together the horror genres of rings grudge with a big ass pair of scissors and you basically got her entire existence but she's very useful in the most extreme fashions.

If you want to know why Ainz said, "as I expected", it was because Ainz ordered to attack the coastal areas far from the capital without any real purpose, and suddenly Azuth (Red Gundam with machine gun ) appeared to help the coastal areas annihilate the death knights and death warriors. . The ‘as I expected’ is a line ainz rehearsed and is used to obscure the fact he has no idea wtf just happened. The attack did have 2 purposes though. I know what the robot guy is about from reading other comments on KZbin if someone hasn't already told you then it is a little bit of a spoiler. The guy himself isn't special he is using a 500 year old armoured suit that would help bridge the gap between the level 100 players of yggdrasil and noobs who just started after all the game was in operation 12 or 15 years. It lets players have the power of level 50 to 80 but has quite a few limitations.

To give some insight to that nun, its not the churchs falt she is weird, but she has always been this way. As for how she knew about the age of the son, she used her status as a really powerful priest (new world standards) and her influence in the church allowed her to get into the archives which normally wouldnt be allowed for female priests. No one can really stop her due to her postion and powers as a caster.
