OMG!!!! Confirmation!!!!!!! Lol my husband was in love with me for 2 years before he told me. We worked with each other at the same job. Lol, I won't get into too many details. Our marriage has been attacked over and over again. I did ask him what did he see in me, that I had nothing to offer him. And he thought he wasn't good enough for me. Steph, this is a confirmation. I went through a four year relationship with someone I had known for 8 years. Engaged for a year and a half and we were working on establishing a business of ours. If he hadn't told me, I wouldn't have known that his friends, the same people whom I welcomed into our home had negative opinions of me(some I can't even mention)...It took a lot for me to get back on my feet after the separation. I started seeing myself as less than for a while. Coming from different backgrounds, the discrimination was obvious but hidden in insincere compliments. I also lost friends when my lifestyle changed. I always was optimistic and was never one to let anyone put me down. Because he feared being isolated by people on his end, he thought comparing me to other women or subtly insulting my intelligence and my background would provoke an emotion from me so to give him a reason as to why I am not fit for him. I felt more sorry for him and was thankful they exposed themselves. I am happy I stopped trying to prove myself. This hasn't been up to a year.
