@@thargoff but still it's not allowed between English clubs. There are no affiliations in real life between English clubs in the football pyramid because it is illegal. English clubs are allowed to have it between teams in different countries. It's why man city has the city group with girona, Melbourne, New York City and Red Bull has Leipzig, Salzburg, New York Red Bulls etc but Man City doesn't have an affiliate with say Rochdale or Stockport because it is illegal.

@@tombardsley3081 Well, then why it is in the game this way? SI can do different rules for different leagues and competitions, they could implement it this way as well. As long as it is in the game, it is allowed in-game, not a bug, it is by definition NOT cheating. Also, as much as SI wants to be realistic, it is just a video game in the end. There are so many things that are not realistic in FM but are still not called cheating, so then this shouldn't be either. And if you can have affiliates abroad what sense does it make to have no affiliates domestically? Either both or none...
