There were two types of Jasons in this show: ones who had his family and the ones who lost his family. And the ones who were killing other Jasons and his friends were all the latter type. There were very few "paths not taken" since there were only two types of Jasons in the chaos. And even though they were all from different realities, they were still destroying "his" life. It was insane that they were all fighting, since they didn't really learn from their mistakes and just wanted to steal Jason-1's life.

I had never heard of "Dark Matter" and the story is interesting but a little similar to a few other multi-dimensional stories... Anyone remember SLIDERS ? Anyway, this video summary is nice and does a good job of covering the events in the Apple TV series. There are a few things that were just silly to me. 1) The box would only need one door as the premise is that the mind of the person opening it controls the manner of world that is connected. No need for a hallway with multiple doors. 2) If you break down the entire story arc and keep track of the number and location of all the Jasons it becomes clear that the large group at the target location got it right nearly from the start, that is why there are so many at the correct world / location. Thus we must assume that the two Jasons we follow from the start are actually pretty bad at this and it takes all these world transitions and exhausting several cases of drugs to accomplish what most of the Jasons did on their first transitions or two. Our hero is pretty inept. 3) This is further reinforced by the multiple Jasons at the end, not only on the chat room, but also phoning to cell phones of the Jason 1 wife and son, and the nearly full case of drugs in the car taken from one of the Jasons that make it to Charlie's friend;'s house. The chat room screen made it look like there are at least 100+ Jasons in that particular target world. Either they all exited the box prior to the events of the show and are just hanging out or this is just sloppy writing because they all did not just exit the box in the time the concrete shell was broken open and the family driving to the friends remote mansion only to all collectively jump on a common chat room. 4) Also this is not a time machine but rather a space machine, just it does not move location. So all these events are co-linear on the time line and time progresses essentially the same on each. So, the duration of the entire story tracks with the same number of total days in each world, or more importantly the target world where the wife and single surviving son reside. We should have at least 34 Jasons leaving the box per day minimum on average, or one every 42 minutes... ah yes, 42 the answer to life the universe and everything. 5) Super convenient that the utopian Chicago world just happens to have a "missing" Amanda who the interloper Amanda can assume the identity off because they just happen to have retinal scan ID checking, Convenient ! Yes, the world is what you make it, and you don't even need to have a big black box or drugs to change it.

Someone please invent Lavender Fairy so I can enter Super Position and leave our tragic world. Haaa! Ryan was hilarious. I love that line "eat a bag of dicks!" ... "but let me microwave them for you first, so that they're nice and hot for your mouth". Hilarious!! Fantastic show. Hoping for a Season 2. Hopefully Blake Crouch will make this happen. I know Wayward Pines Season 2 was a disaster but a second season of Dark Matter needs to happen to delve into the other characters and their journeys through the box. I want to know how Ryan manages to find Amanda. Dark Matter has its flaws, yes, but it is such a compelling show. Brilliant sci fi. Brilliant music score. Amazing scenes ... such as the world where there is no atmosphere. We only get to see it for a few seconds but wow. We see so much in those few seconds. I'm wondering, as I'm sure a lot of you are, why that guy that wants his photo taken with his partner, has a camera that looks so ancient, yet they are in such a technologically advanced Chicago. I don't get that part. I mean Amanda has that illuminated holographic passport, showing how advanced their tech is, yet that guy had a camera from decades gone by. Kinda strange. Not sure what Blake has to say about that. Hopefully that is revealed in one of his interviews.

Great clip, but I can't understand why people can't get rotary cannons right. The bullets always come out of thr barrels when they reach a specific point on the gun, let's call it 12 o'clock. That is because each barrel isnt an entire gun, its just a barrel. The rest if the gun is in that 12 o'clock spot, and when a new barrel rotates in, it fires a round. The reason it does this is to get increased fire rate, sicbe you don't have to worry about thr barrels heating up and melting too fast. Single barrel machine guns have to limit the fire speed, or the gunners are trained to fire in bursts, because if they just hold down the trigger the barrel can get so hot it will literally melt.
