Assuming that you're both referring to Thunder Dragon, and not being sarcastic, you can discard Thunder Dragon to the graveyard to add up to two more to your hand. Lots of old Chaos decks, and even some new ones I've seen, use Thunder Dragon to get a light monster into the graveyard fast to summon Chaos Sorcerer or (insert either Envoy here). If you're referring to something else entirely, disregard this post.

This mode made me realize I’m a bigger fan of modern than Goat, BUT… I still think this should be a permanent mode. They sell this game on nostalgia, but don’t have a nostalgic mode waiting for those players when they join. Different formats added permanently would just be good for the game. AND it would give a purpose to Legacy packs. If the game had Goat, Edison, TCG and OCG, Master Duel could have an even larger player base. And many people would probably be like me and play them all just to shake things up every so often.

Ah yes. My favorite combo on this event is setting masked dragon/Flying Kamakri (can’t spell) to summon Armed dragon level 3 to get 5 one the field on my turn. A classic play that I used back in one of the Yugioh video games as a kid for me.

As someone whos only really gotten to plau yugioh though master duel **if we dont caught duel links and the gba games** this mode has been. A breath of fresh air. You got to understand the abilty to work with a much tighter selection of cards and not have to deal with morde combo decks has given me so much life. I was strugglin to get myself to play and when i did id play maybe 2 duels before turning the game off cause it felt very draining. But i and i swear to god its true. Had like 20 duels in under a hour. I cant put it down ive made like 8 different decks. Im filled with ideas and having this quick back and forth feels so good. Ive tried chaos ive tried warriors horus and rn trying a zombie deck. Its been insane feeling like i can cook up so many ideas that dosnt need the deck to be mostly sr or ur

A hint for people playing in the time travel event. If you are wondering what type of loaner deck you most likely are up against, look at the count in the extra deck: 0=gadgets (least likely to appear. Could be an exodia deck lol) 3=Horus (most likely to come across. Not advised to set monsters unless you can out nobleman) 7=fusions (it'll try to run you over with fusion monsters)

I'm downloading Master Duel on my laptop again ever since I found about this classic mode. I always wanted to play classic Yu-Gi-Oh against other people, since modern Yu-Gi-Oh isn't really my thing. So I'm glad that Konami finally released a separate classic mode online.

The Horus loaner looked nuts, and kicked my butt a few times while I messed around with a janky Warrior Pile. The Fusion deck is funny, it could probably be better though. And Gadgets is Gadgets, if you don't get rid of them quickly you CAN get swarmed, but they also eat through their main monsters really quickly. OCG 2004 has some notable differences from GOAT Format, but fans of that will probably be able to make most of their more viable brews(Ring of Destruction errata aside).

I prefer to keep this format as "Semi-permanent" mode. Yes, we still keep the "Time Travel" mode. But every month we move to a different era of the game. This 2004 era is enjoyable. But I don't think this is still enjoyable if we play it for months. . My favorite decks here are Stall Burn and Zombie control. Handriping with Spirit Reaper is very fun.
