Honestly, the patch fixed so many things and it smoothed things out way so much that I can enjoy the game even on my low specs machine with one lag spike every 2 hours or so compared to the unplayable mess that was the 1.0 version. Loading is faster, map is still needing some time to render when I reload a save but its SIGNIFICANTLY faster. Balance is fixed, I literally removed every mod I had because I just didnt need them anymore. I am more than excited for the following updates because it seems to me this game will be 100% polished in 2-3 patches or so. A big thank you to GSC as a humble rx590 user.

Well when there’s a soldier standing in my way of the chemical base and all my guns are broken and my armor is too and I need a technician and have to run to either zallisia or the slag heap to store and fix things. I’d consider it broken. The only way to enter the chemical base is a wall on the other side and once you’re in your stuck. Don’t know if it’s the same for pc but for Xbox , if you side with the ward the entire chemical base is bugged and inaccessible, which i would consider broken in a game that requires you to store and craft things at a safe location. I like these types of games but not when I’m spending a full on hour just running back to go drop and sell guns That’s just a waste of time and not enjoyable at all

i was playing my save with ukraine voice over and the game glitched and stopped producing subtitles when i receive radio communications. i didn't know Zalissya was being attacked and i now already halfway through Moth to the Flame main quest rofl

There’s still a bug where after the mission where you lead the defense of Zalissiya and then you head to Rostok, everyone back at Zalissiya dies. Not only that, but after I went to Rookie Village and talked to the gun trader about Stelok and then left to go do the main quest, everyone there just DISSAPEARS, not even dead, they’re just gone like they were never there. It’s annoying as fuck because I basically have no way of heading down to the South without just walking, and the Chemical Plant is literally hostile towards me. The game just punishes you for no reason.

I'm stuck on an infinitely looping teleport loading screen doing one of the SIIRCA quests. This was a known bug before the patch and it hasn't fixed it unfortunately. There's still lots of people having game breaking bugs. The game is far from saved and needs more patches ASAP.

Would be nice to be able to mod the Mk14 to the short variant so it equips faster. About walking around instead of running, if you play Fallout 4, it actually works well there too. A bit too well even. AI actually loses track of you as if you were sneaking. It feels so badass to slowly walk down a corridor with a shotgun and listen to the enemies panic, trying to figure out where you are.

I loaded a save where i Had a bug in which zalissiya would still fall after you walked far enough away from it. I Also couldnt talk to professor lodochka because his bunker door wouldn't open. Both of those seem to have gotten fixed for me which im happy about. I still kept a save before the bugs just incase i have to reload/restart from there again.

Had two crashes in 60h gameplay. Two bugs were however gamebreaking. One: Richter died at some time and I can't go to Pripyat. Two: Zalissia always dies, no matter what. Just that after the patch I don't get the message anymore and Hamster dies when entering the house.

The scanner weight is in reference to the big ones you have to place during the Swamp quest. As for best armor, radiation and anomalies are kind of a joke in this game, so Exoskeleton is the way to go, upgrade it for sprint, its very tanky, lots of carry weight, and can even get 4 out of 5 lead container slots. Completely outclasses the SEVA's.

The Burer can cast a shield and when it expire, it deflects all the bullets back to you so my advice is use grenades or shoot it when the shield is dropped

I have been trying my hardest to enjoy the game but just couldn't. After two 8 hour saves (one got corrupted -_-) something just feels so off. It's a bunch of little things like the simplification of artifacts, performance problems, and awkward weapon handling that always destroy my immersion. My biggest issue is the extremely mundane combat with tanky enemies and a tanky player make it feel more like a far cry game then STALKER to me. Thing is I really do the love the world and seeing you and many other have fun with it convinces me that it really is just a rough diamond. I think I'll wait a couple of months for patches to either align the game more with old STALKER or until mods do.

Most of this i actually understand being an OG stalker myself buuuuuut awkward handling? Idk what you talkin about brotha. The only clunky quirk ive found is two, and they are 1, it doesnt remember where in the reloading animation you are, making reloading really annoying at times when you need to interrupt it to heal or something and then 2, the auto-lean gets fucky at times and id really like if I could just turn off the auto-lean/auto-peek stuff. Otherwise it feels great. Not quite cryengine level great but for ue5 its pretty top knotch.

Delete all auto saves before exiting the game. There's something very wrong going on with them. Make a new save on a new slot, get an old manual or quick save and rename it to what the new save is. This fixes dead saves 90% of the time.

I started playing it and was really liking the beginning but the stick drift/no deadzone issue made me quit so j could play the game for the first time without issues. But then gamepass dropped Nine Sols and of course i had to play that. Now that Stalker 2 is fixed ill have something to look forward too while i complete Nine Sols. So far it's been a great Hollownight inspired metroidvania that can scratch the itch as we wait (indefinitely) for Silksong to drop lol.

yea nothing changed for me performance wise in game still stutter the same going in and out of towns 45 fps in towns dips from 80 down to 55 when walking around in the zone just running around in a circle and that's with dlss doesn't matter what settings either low maxed dlss on dlss off none of the settings really actually change how the game looks or preforms the frame generation gets it up into the 140s but still dips down into the 60s and introduces horrible input lag so aiming feels bad the only thing the update seemed to fix is when i tab out of the game my pc doesn't crash or go super unresponsive and tabs out like any other game normally lol

It bricked my game fully, no matter what i do, the game crashes at any instance of damage in the game, be it me dealing damage or someone else dealing damage to me or anything, i have boiled it down to a faulty game pass patch or something, since a fresh install doesnt solve this problem even after a full wipe including shader and all data deletion on a brand new save, and its 100% of the time, any instance of damage is an instant crash.

@@lnugl Its a big downgrade from the previous games in everything other than visuals. There is no Alife system which means no background simulation of the zone. This feature was one of the main things that made the originals so great and gave them a living breathing universe. It flat out does not exist in S2, if you load a save then go to a group of npc's they never persist. It isnt broken, it just isnt there.

Thr game runs amazing for me since day 1, idk what do you mean by "Save"

I don’t know if it’s just me. I love this game, but am I the only one that feels like the game is honestly too easy even on veteran? The only thing hard about veteran is the fact that blood suckers nearly one shot you in the lower mission rewards. Other than that, I feel like I really don’t die a lot. I don’t know. I just feels a lot easier compared to stalker shadow of Chernobyl or call of prypyat

I don't know if this is patch related but my gpu died a few hours into playing on the new patch. GPU which I bought last year and took extra care of.

@ the game looks incredible, the systems and mechanics are phenomenal, it’s the most ambient environment I’ve ever seen that I have been exploring every nook and cranny of, and I’m blown away by the detail, a life is working for me, at least to some level. I have had not any of those issues that you’re speaking on. Rather you or your hardware is struggling, I don’t know. But that’s unfortunate. Because myself, and all of my buddies that play it on relevant equipment, we are completely immersed.

I hate Burers. their weapon grabs are stupid in that your gun will go through the map. Sniper rifles are your best bet as they have a limited range to grab your weapon.

you are probably like 60% of dumb PC user who installs their game on a external disc drive and not on the main SSD. the game run smooth af. get a good rig and install your game correctly you wont have any problem.
