I am helping 3 friends build their Q2 rigs. After playing with my Q2 5 of my friends asked Santa for Q2's for Christmas. Three of them got one. The other 2 will be looking for theirs's on birthdays. Now, I am working with them to get the most comfortable and dynamic system. I had recommended the Bionik headset. Now, I am recommending this BOBOVR A2 set, (and I haven't even tried it out personally!) All 3 of them have the M2 Pro Plus and the F2 ordered or received. Your reviews have never steered me wrong and your excitement in this A2 set is contagious. I have a set ordered but it is forecasted to be the end of the January for delivery. BOBOVR truly do seem like the King of Quest accessories. Kiwi is great as well don't get me wrong, but the m2 plus being almost perfect, the f2 upgrade being awesome for comfort and foggy lenses and now the a2 seemingly being awesome for audio just confirms to me that I made the right choice in giving their products a shot. Pro has a more solid rear end, plus has that new squishy round rear head piece that fits more head shapes. If you have a pro and it fits that's great. If you don't have either I'd get the plus just because it's more adaptable.

Bought the Bionic Mantis a month ago- didn't like them. bought the Conquest VR 2 weeks ago- ok but not for me. just ordered the Bobovr A2. I am excited ! Bobovr has never let me down. Love their products. My set up - Quest 2, M2+, F2 upgrade and now the A2 headphones. My charging dock , which hangs on the wall has 3 magnetic charging cables with it. so i can charge the headset, the F2 fan and now the A2 headphones all at the same time. Charge my 3 Bobo batteries on their own charging pad. I am also sporting the VR Wave prescription lenses. If I only had a 3way c splitter, I would live in the VR world forever!

I hear you. the Mantis were fine for me for a while, Conquest wouldn't even stay on the freaking headset LOL but A2 is where I'm happy to be. One small power hack, the boboVR battery can also put power out the top USB C port so you can charge at least 2 things at once right now with a second cable. :)

The BoboVR battery pack can charge two things at once. One with the battery strap cable, and a second with the USB C port on top. Maybe that will help?

I bought the Conquests Pro headphones after a review I saw on them but I'm really disappointed in how fast they fell apart. I had to use zip ties to hold them together so I can use them. They sound great but are really fragile for how extremely expensive they are. Loved your review on these from BOBOVR and I'm buying a set for both my wife and I based on your review. All the extras I bought from BOBOVR are strong, effective, and great quality. Keep making the great videos.

To be honest, I like them a lot..but the fact that I have to charge them it's a letdown for me..I really don't like the idea to mess with more cables while trading off the ease of use of the M2 plus + batteries..I hope they will make in the future a lesser version without the charging part. I fully agree! For now you can use the top USB c on the battery itself to charge it also. It can output power through both ends :)

Yes, one cable from the strap going to one and another cable from the USB C on top of the battery going to the other. The batteries can put power out both ends at the same time. A neat detail!

It was long and very involved! They sent me prototype pics nearly a year ago. It was very hard to get them to fit on everything, sound great, and work for everyone. I'm very impressed how versatile they are.

I now have a set and they are great pleased I waited don't think there is anything that you have recommended not been as good as you have said love your honest reviews and efforts you put into this. Only 2 things I came across not major the mute function works but only what you hear is muted as I play mulitiplayer games it only mutes one way so if on a phone be aware other players can still hear you it just mutes the audio out. The 2nd one is looking at the cads of the quest 3 this design would not be compatible as the type c connection is on the strap that's if the q3 goes with that design and if your going to get a q3 this year maybe a bad move? Luckily for me I can hand this down to my daughter. Let us know if anyone has the same issue on the mute and its not just my set please. TANKS AGAIN FOR YHE GREAT WORK YOU DO AND THE MONEY YOU SAVE US ALL!

for exercise I just use 2.1 dedicated big floor speakers in my play space. (just run an audio cable to them). nothing beat the feeling of big basssss speaker

JAY AND BOBOVR NEVER DISAPPOINTIN! LETS GOOOOOO!!! Does it still fit in the BOBOVR case? If not, is removing/putting them on not much of a hassle if you have to pack up your headset?

Sadly they DON'T FIT in the C2 case. They made them fit all head straps which made them WIDE! Nearly one inch on either side and you can't close the case around that. Taking them off and on isn't too hard once you get used to it, at least on the M2 style straps. On elite straps it's a bit harder due to the thickening pad which really hangs onto straps.

Been waiting a while for Bobo to come out with an audio solution, to the point of emailing them myself asking for when lol. The only thing I would have preferred to see at least passthrough power from the headphones to the Quest, but even more ideally use the USB from the quest to the headphones for audio as well, eliminating the one (albeit tiny) headphone cable. I've gotten used to the stock audio, I may just wait until BOBO comes out with the likely inevitable Pro or "improved" version like they've done with nearly all their stuff. Thanks as always Jay!

I hope they include spacers for their headphones in the future because I don’t want the speaker to be on my ear while I game or workout. Mainly play gorilla tag and I been hooked to it. I think I might create 3D printed spacers and sell them on Etsy. Probably different spacing sizes depending on how close you want them to your ear. Idk could I possibly get and ideas or add ons? I just received mine today. I watched your video this morning and I was quite anxious for them to arrive after seeing your review. They are great, but there is one MAJOR issue with them that was not discussed in the video. With the headphones attached, they no longer fit in the Bobovr C2 carrying case. This really sucks because I just bought the case because of the Bobovr M2 headstrap and love it. I was hoping there was enough wiggle room in the case to get them to fit, but I couldn't do it. So, if you keep your VR headset in the case to keep it protected between playing sessions like I do, you're going to have to remove the headphones every time. They attach pretty tight and I am terrified of breaking something in order to take them off or put them back on. At least for me this is an issue, maybe for everyone else it's not.

You know I NEVER use a case for mine (I know, bad) so I didn't think about testing this and one of the first comments asked about it. I was sad to see it didn't fit but it's no surprise either. They didn't make enough room in the C2 for really any headphones and only my weird etsy speakers BARELY fit. I'm sure they'll come out with another case for it but that's ANOTHER expense then :(

For me personally, it needing power is an immediate disqualification. And i really don't understand why it would be necessary. I have a modified CV1 headstrap with the original CV1 headphones running only from the audio jack and it gets plenty loud.

As far as audio solutions, go for the quest 2…How is the soundcore VR P10 Wireless Gaming Earbuds not the king. What’s your comparison opinion? I mean those things, and others like it, kind of just looks like a serious chunks of weight. When you can have a seriously high quality almost 0 latency connection with quality earbuds.

Did you know Bobo is making a passive version of these headphones. There is nothing on their website about them but they are on amazon listed as the Bobovr A2 Air. It's 50.00 instead of 70.00. Personally I prefer that it's passive.

Bobovr has already shown what to do if the battery is dead, you can simply switch the cable from the battery on the back of your head and continue playing.

Another option is run a second USB C to USB C cable to the top of the battery. It can power out both sides at the same time and just keep everything charged! Pretty sweet!

I ended up getting a nice pair of wired earbuds because they don’t make anything like this that work really well with he bobovr plus…. Until now! Instant order from me and returning those earbuds that I don’t have a device to use them with.

I think it SHOULD have power passthrough via external battery. It would be kinda cumbersome to charge everything seperately everytime. Maybe bobovr should make all-in-one solution for this someday. They have plenty of rooms inside front headband to put in wiring. I can't just keep adding up things and cables.

You can charge them while on. A splitter is an option but also the BoboVR battery can put power out of both ends meaning you can plug the battery strap into the headset, while also running a separate usb c cable from the top of the battery up to the headphones.

I'm sorry if someone has already asked this, I didn't see it. I'm currently using Massdrop pc38x mainly for playing multiplayer FPS, which has amazing audio with spatial audio for locating enemy players. I'm curious if these offer the same?

I tried closing my eyes in Pistol Whip and seeing if I could dodge the bullets with just the sound and it worked. That said I haven't tried the headphones you mentioned ever so I can't fully compare.

@@jaybratt my thing about the twin chargers is, sure, they charge the batteries which can keep the quest charged, but there are up sides to a dock like having a place to display the quest, controller charging, and that adapter from the d2 that had link passthrough.

I dismantled some Marshall 2 headphones and permanently attached to bobo vr and kiwi elite strap. Wonder how these compare? The only issue I have with the Marshall's is I cannot quickly take them off.

Got to admit, with the Quest 3 almost here, I am surprised BoboVR didn't hold off and just put their development into quest3 stuff. Maybe they know something, like that the Quest2 strap and earphones will fit the quest3. But from the leaked CAD images, I can't see how. Any thoughts Jay? I mean, why would anyone shell out money for a headset that is about to become obsolete?🤔

The headphones don't look like they'd work on the Quest 3 because the USB port is in the way but idk, I think the M2 plus might just fit it. It looks like the same dimensions as a stock head strap on the 2 and if it snaps off the same way the M2 technically wouldn't block the USB port either.

I bought them. Left headphone kept cutting out every 10 seconds and the right headphone didn't work at all. I presumed I was just unlucky and packaged them up to send back to Amazon. I ordered my second pair, they turned up one day later, the other package is in the hall ready to go back/be picked up. The second pair, just opened them... The right headphone doesn't work. Both pairs - broken out of the box. Never had this happen with anything before. Bad quality is one thing, this is a sick joke. I connected my Senheisers to the Quest 2 to check the headphone jack - nope it's perfect, my regular headphones work perfectly.

I am really disappointed to hear that! They sent me two sets and I've been rocking them both without incident. I know stock has been sold out and they're trying to get more back in but I hope that DOESN'T mean they're sacrificing QA to save time on shipments! I'll let Bobo know your experience Christopher.

I had a very similar experience, except instead of them just not working there was a lot of static sound when I used my first pair, I returned the first pair and the second came very quickly, the second pair do still have a bit of static that can be heard especially with ambient sounds like in the quest home, but after some time I stopped noticing it and the audio was still pretty good, I have looked into it and this at least seems to be a bit of a common issue. So I wonder what's going on over at BOBOVR

These look amazing. I finally got bionics recently but wish I held out for these. One question I have, do they fit mounted in the bobovr case? If they do that could be the impetus I need to buy

Sadly they do not fit in the case. They made them fit all head straps which made them WIDE! Nearly one inch on either side and you can't close the case around that.

I much prefer my Airpods because they’re less cumbersome than large ear phones; the AirPods easily connect to my Quest via Bluetooth thereby leaving my USB-C port on the Quest open for my BoboVR battery power cable.

Just got mine yesterday and of course they were broken, kept hearing a popping and clicking sound when they were turned on and when they were plugged into the quest there was a constant static sound. Going to return and replace them, hoping that was just a one in a million.

No matter what headphones I use with q2 they all sound quieter than I'd expect them to. Is there a reason for this?

Yeah, the Quest 2's audio output is weak. You need some serious amp if you wanted to blow eardrums. In many games it's fine but if you get an app that is also quieter by default (like Supernatural) it's really frustrating because nothing gets loud enough. These bobos are just loud enough on max volume in Supernatural

Tried these out, mines had a weird white noise problem kind of "popping" specially noticeable at medium to low volume, problems that are not present on other headphones/earphones, I prefer the Soundcore P10 VR, less battery life but better audio quality.

I had one other person say the same and they exchanged them and sounded way better. Definitely return or exchange them as it sounds like they're defective. ☹️
