I am helping 3 friends build their Q2 rigs. After playing with my Q2 5 of my friends asked Santa for Q2's for Christmas. Three of them got one. The other 2 will be looking for theirs's on birthdays. Now, I am working with them to get the most comfortable and dynamic system. I had recommended the Bionik headset. Now, I am recommending this BOBOVR A2 set, (and I haven't even tried it out personally!) All 3 of them have the M2 Pro Plus and the F2 ordered or received. I bought the Conquests Pro headphones after a review I saw on them but I'm really disappointed in how fast they fell apart. I had to use zip ties to hold them together so I can use them. They sound great but are really fragile for how extremely expensive they are. Loved your review on these from BOBOVR and I'm buying a set for both my wife and I based on your review. All the extras I bought from BOBOVR are strong, effective, and great quality. Keep making the great videos.

I saw a different video, from someone else's channel and he raved about them... Liar. I'll give these ones away when I get the BOBO A2 sets but I'll feel guilty for giving them to a friend or family. Bought the Bionic Mantis a month ago- didn't like them. bought the Conquest VR 2 weeks ago- ok but not for me. just ordered the Bobovr A2. I am excited ! Bobovr has never let me down. Love their products. My set up - Quest 2, M2+, F2 upgrade and now the A2 headphones. My charging dock , which hangs on the wall has 3 magnetic charging cables with it. so i can charge the headset, the F2 fan and now the A2 headphones all at the same time. Charge my 3 Bobo batteries on their own charging pad. I am also sporting the VR Wave prescription lenses. If I only had a 3way c splitter, I would live in the VR world forever!

I hear you. the Mantis were fine for me for a while, Conquest wouldn't even stay on the freaking headset LOL but A2 is where I'm happy to be. One small power hack, the boboVR battery can also put power out the top USB C port so you can charge at least 2 things at once right now with a second cable. :)

The BoboVR battery pack can charge two things at once. One with the battery strap cable, and a second with the USB C port on top. Maybe that will help?

BOBOVR truly do seem like the King of Quest accessories. Kiwi is great as well don't get me wrong, but the m2 plus being almost perfect, the f2 upgrade being awesome for comfort and foggy lenses and now the a2 seemingly being awesome for audio just confirms to me that I made the right choice in giving their products a shot. Good stuff!

Pro has a more solid rear end, plus has that new squishy round rear head piece that fits more head shapes. If you have a pro and it fits that's great. If you don't have either I'd get the plus just because it's more adaptable.

Friggin Bobo! The moment I saw their Ad on them, I knew you're take on them wouldn't be far behind and it did not dissapoint! I've also used a bunch of different audio solutions and these look good enough that I'd spend to have a full Bobo setup. They continue to be the standard for Quest 2 headset accessories.

"Mutes only one way you can still be heard"Great review Jay as always ! Nearly went for the manta headphones but as soon as you mentioned bobovr had something in the pipeline I waited. I now have a set and they are great pleased I waited don't think there is anything that you have recommended not been as good as you have said love your honest reviews and efforts you put into this. Only 2 things I came across not major the mute function works but only what you hear is muted as I play mulitiplayer games it only mutes one way so if on a phone be aware other players can still hear you it just mutes the audio out. The 2nd one is looking at the cads of the quest 3 this design would not be compatible as the type c connection is on the strap that's if the q3 goes with that design and if your going to get a q3 this year maybe a bad move? Luckily for me I can hand this down to my daughter. Let us know if anyone has the same issue on the mute and its not just my set please. TANKS AGAIN FOR YHE GREAT WORK YOU DO AND THE MONEY YOU SAVE US ALL!

I fully agree! For now you can use the top USB c on the battery itself to charge it also. It can output power through both ends :)

Yes, one cable from the strap going to one and another cable from the USB C on top of the battery going to the other. The batteries can put power out both ends at the same time. A neat detail!

It was long and very involved! They sent me prototype pics nearly a year ago. It was very hard to get them to fit on everything, sound great, and work for everyone. I'm very impressed how versatile they are.

Been waiting a while for Bobo to come out with an audio solution, to the point of emailing them myself asking for when lol. The only thing I would have preferred to see at least passthrough power from the headphones to the Quest, but even more ideally use the USB from the quest to the headphones for audio as well, eliminating the one (albeit tiny) headphone cable. I've gotten used to the stock audio, I may just wait until BOBO comes out with the likely inevitable Pro or "improved" version like they've done with nearly all their stuff. Thanks as always Jay!

To be honest, I like them a lot..but the fact that I have to charge them it's a letdown for me..I really don't like the idea to mess with more cables while trading off the ease of use of the M2 plus + batteries..I hope they will make in the future a lesser version without the charging part. Sadly they DON'T FIT in the C2 case. They made them fit all head straps which made them WIDE! Nearly one inch on either side and you can't close the case around that. Taking them off and on isn't too hard once you get used to it, at least on the M2 style straps. On elite straps it's a bit harder due to the thickening pad which really hangs onto straps.

I hope they include spacers for their headphones in the future because I don’t want the speaker to be on my ear while I game or workout. Mainly play gorilla tag and I been hooked to it. I think I might create 3D printed spacers and sell them on Etsy. Probably different spacing sizes depending on how close you want them to your ear. Idk could I possibly get and ideas or add ons? I currently don’t have one of these headphones still waiting for it to go back in stock hope it doesn’t take too long.

I dismantled some Marshall 2 headphones and permanently attached to bobo vr and kiwi elite strap. Wonder how these compare? The only issue I have with the Marshall's is I cannot quickly take them off.

I'm sorry if someone has already asked this, I didn't see it. I'm currently using Massdrop pc38x mainly for playing multiplayer FPS, which has amazing audio with spatial audio for locating enemy players. I'm curious if these offer the same?

I've been doing stock audio this whole time and never felt the need to try a different audio solution. This however has me quite intrigued... When bobo releases a product they have my attention full stop. My only concern is the added weight might add even more strain on my bad neck 🤔 this will be a tough decision

I just received mine today. I watched your video this morning and I was quite anxious for them to arrive after seeing your review. They are great, but there is one MAJOR issue with them that was not discussed in the video. With the headphones attached, they no longer fit in the Bobovr C2 carrying case. This really sucks because I just bought the case because of the Bobovr M2 headstrap and love it. I was hoping there was enough wiggle room in the case to get them to fit, but I couldn't do it. So, if you keep your VR headset in the case to keep it protected between playing sessions like I do, you're going to have to remove the headphones every time. They attach pretty tight and I am terrified of breaking something in order to take them off or put them back on. At least for me this is an issue, maybe for everyone else it's not.

You know I NEVER use a case for mine (I know, bad) so I didn't think about testing this and one of the first comments asked about it. I was sad to see it didn't fit but it's no surprise either. They didn't make enough room in the C2 for really any headphones and only my weird etsy speakers BARELY fit. I'm sure they'll come out with another case for it but that's ANOTHER expense then :(

I like my Kiwi elite strap with a built in battery pack a lot better. Idk, this strap feels like too much weight on my head. I feel like it’s gonna give me a migraine just by wearing it… I like the way the Kiwi strap feels on my head. it’s got a nice smooth foam leather cushion… I love it.

I recently picked up the quest 2 and was really missing my deluxe audio strap from my quest 1. I ended up getting a nice pair of wired earbuds because they don’t make anything like this that work really well with he bobovr plus…. Until now! Instant order from me and returning those earbuds that I don’t have a device to use them with.

I decided to go with the soundcore buds. They sound great and are perfect for my needs. Then I spoiled myself with them and now the stock audio definitely isn't as good as it was before I tried external buds. 😁

I totally agree!! That stock audio seems ok and many people tell me it's "fine" but the minute you try something better it's SO hard to go back! lol

Though I will be able to find out for my self in the near future I am curious if these will fit in the BOBOVR C2 case? Would be super slick if a fully BOBOVR kitted out quest 2 (M2+, F2, A2) fit in the C2 case

Dang it I should've checked that! That's what I get for never using a case myself... we went to Vegas this week for CES and I put my Quest 2 in the top of my backpack LOL WARNING NOW NO IT DOES NOT FIT IN THE C2. Looking at the size of that case I don't know if they could've made a set fit :(

@@jaybratt Thanks for checking Jay. It's fair enough since they designed the case probably long before the A2 was even an idea yet. Not really a negitive on the A2 or C2 would have just been a bonus if it had. Though perhaps it's time they designed a C3 that would fit a fully BOBOVR kitted headset.

@@jaybratt Makes me want them to make a new case even more. Ideally with nice fitting molds for the controllers and straps across those that also make it possible to hold the Pro controllers without the tracking rings. Maybe you should tell them :)

Yeah the chorus were a big disappointment to me. Not only the fit but they started having problems quickly where I had to unplug them every time I went to use them.

As far as audio solutions, go for the quest 2…How is the soundcore VR P10 Wireless Gaming Earbuds not the king. What’s your comparison opinion? I mean those things, and others like it, kind of just looks like a serious chunks of weight. When you can have a seriously high quality almost 0 latency connection with quality earbuds.

hey jay, i see your head strap is perfectly centered. i was wondering if you have ever had it be tightened an abnormal amount to one side, because thats the way mine is right now, would you know how to fix that? i asked the customer support but they didnt help.

Try loosening it all the way and then tightening it all the way back down. I had one do that and was able to fix it that way.

Maybe a stupid question. What case do you use to store your meta 2 with the bobovr headset + battery + headphones + grips? I'm new to vr gaming. But now i have the same setup as yours :) i need a case to store all this when i vist my son in the WE. I can throw everything in a backpack but it's not very secure :)

I agree on best option but sadly no on the case. They made them too wide to accommodate all head straps and with nearly an inch on either side they can't fit.

I tried it without pads and it's plasticky so not comfortable. I did try putting some padding in the crack to make them off ear and in that case I took the pad off to leave more off ear space. They add a significant amount more width (nearly 2 inches total). I can NO LONGER get it into the BoboVR C2 Case :(

Ok 2 questions 1. Is it safe to leave them charging after full charged? 2. Do you need a battery strap to balance the audio weight?

Bobovr has already shown what to do if the battery is dead, you can simply switch the cable from the battery on the back of your head and continue playing.

Another option is run a second USB C to USB C cable to the top of the battery. It can power out both sides at the same time and just keep everything charged! Pretty sweet!

I have the M2 but the halo did not work for me, used the conversion kit to M1. Do they fit? Plus’s do they fit in the BoBo VR carry case.

Did you know Bobo is making a passive version of these headphones. There is nothing on their website about them but they are on amazon listed as the Bobovr A2 Air. It's 50.00 instead of 70.00. Personally I prefer that it's passive.

I actually have a set on the way. They got a lot of people saying it was too expensive so they wanted a lite option for all those people. I LOVE how they listen and respond. Not enough companies do.

I just purchased the Bobovr A2 headphones. still waiting for them to be delivered just wondering if there would be firmware updates, I read this on the Bobovr website "providing 20 -20000Hz frequency response range, so that the sound quality CAN be further improved"

It is pretty standard for the range. I'd hope so but I feel like a product like this getting firmware updates is not typical. I'll mention it to bobo though.
