Al is wonderful! His story has blessed me so much. I am still sorry that religion is so cruel to people, especially to young people. However, his real goodness and the Love of God shows through. He is going to be OK now.

This is what makes me really start to hate religion as a concept. What good comes from disowning your son or daughter like this. What good comes from a mother not being in her kids life. None... The fruit from this is not good but rotten. Blind belief can make people do wicked things.

Such a concept as disfellowship is anti christ. It goes against the Gospel. Christ died for our sins so that such sins or evil would be forgiven. Being queer is not evil. Loving someone isnt evil.

This is the most important point you made. Loving someone regardless of gender is not evil, it’s not sinful. That’s where fundamentalist and evangelicals lose their argument. Lying stealing killing adultery all harm your neighbor and are not living. Choosing to love someone and express your love to them emotionally, physically, spiritually is not the same as those harmful sins

Do not store up treasures on earth. Is about extreme wealth like rich men and ceos. Not wealth to live a modest decent life of a baker. Unless you are a monk or nun you dont need to care to such an extreme.
