Overwatch is weird because I can play Sojourn and be accused of smurfing or asked where I get my adderall in one match, then 3 matches later I've got someone saying to report me for throwing or telling me to never queue dps again

Lol that sounds like me on Ashe! Hitting every shot, deleting their backline one game...then I'm going 1-10 and couldn't hit the side of a barn with BOB 😂 (Keeping in mind, I'm a support main so I only recently hopped on dps. Other fps appear to have helped my aim)

seeing chat say high ground doesn't exist in metal ranks is hilarious because someone screamed at me on vc to get off of high ground. what happened after i listened to them? the enemy team took high ground and because i was the only one trying to contest the high ground, we lost. i tried to stay with team for a bit, but, damn, it made me so angry.

To clarify, it's based on their description saying they're having trouble maintaining staying out of Bronze 5. At the time of this recording they did have a Silver 4 peak, but as stated they keep getting dragged back down. Hope that helps!

13:13 nah that always happens to me playing Kiriko. Ill tp in to help my tank, then a second later Doom will ult, Winston will jump away, or Dva will nope out leaving me there with my abilities on cooldown and Im just like welp guess Ill die.

Thats why you have to be selfish, think that you're the only constant in your game and the other 4 variables (bots) why should you die if your tank overextended ? its his fault for dying, not yours for not saving him

You gotta rely on your tank for getting out by themselves. if you realize they’re out of position about to die, don’t waste your only escape resource for their mistake. eventually they will learn when to go back to you for healing, etc. and if they flame you for not healing, just finish the match and move onto the next.

This is my daily experience. Stuck in high silver, low gold but constantly accused of smurfing or using aim bot. That’s just the reality of solo queue and/or playing with lower rank friends. I’m not even saying I’m great… but more likely thinking that Blizzard still has quite a bit of work to do on the ranking system.

​@@diogosousa7698 0 deaths and a lot of healing often means you're playing super passively and that you're not contributing proactively. healing is inherently reactive. teammate takes damage, and you react by healing them. that's part of the job description as a support, but it's not everything. healing is ONE tool in your toolkit, and it's not always the right tool. in order to climb on support, you need to be competent at doing things to the enemy team AND doing things to your team. AND you need to know when you need to do them. be more than a mobile health pack!

@@sethescope i main lw so the damage isn´t that great so most times ik am not gonna do a lot (unless of course hes low health) plus with lw is easy to escape enemys (unless they have a lot of mobility) and am not a idiot to stand on the open and am always carefull of the enemy dps and sounds behind me and i need to pay attention to my team location in case i need to pull them into safety so am just not a idiot that goes into lines of sight just because and don't forget that lw takes times to charge the heal to full so either way you gonna focus on healing sence it's always better to charce it fully not to waste "ammo"

welcome to solo queueing, for solo players there is barely any skill involved in this game, its mostly luck

huh, then how did I manage to climb from gold 1 to diamond 3 twice, once in season 8 (before the first rank reset) and then again last season, while primarily solo queuing? how am I managing to maintain my new rank? does luck play a role? of course it does. playing in anything less than a five stack inherently involves a level of risk. but think about it like this: if you only do placements, your rank will primarily reflect your luck. 10 games means luck can have a massive impact on your rank. maybe you get lucky and get 10 great teams. maybe you get unlucky and seven of your teams are silly geese. however, if you play 100 games or 200 games or even more, your overall rank will reflect your individual skill because the more games you play, the more often you will be in 50-50 matchups where your individual contribution can be the difference between a win or a loss. if you haven't climbed or deranked, there's a couple of possible reasons for that. 1. you just haven't played enough games. play at least 100 per season to see movement. 2. you're at the appropriate rank, and you're improving at the same rate as the average player in your rank. you're not improving fast enough to climb, but you're also not improving at a slower rate than average. there's no secret to climbing. you just have to CONSISTENTLY play better than the average player in your role and your rank and play enough games. that's all. climbing won't happen overnight. you'll bounce around a rank for a while, then you'll peek your head into the next rank and then drop back down for a while, then you'll regularly bounce between (insert lower rank) 2 and 1 and (insert next higher tank) 5 for a while, etc. but if you're playing consistently and still not climbing, you're free to blame rng but that's not going to get you the results you're looking for. just focus on yourself and on improving in impactful areas and you'll see the long term results you're looking for.
