The scene with Mori was thinking of the old lady's past isn't some sort of ability he literally just imagined it in his head but it's still accurate it's meant to be a gag. Mori hasn't been there before they cut out the first 3 chapters where they were being recruited but the executives (the people in suits) go out and recruit the best fighters in the highschools all over Korea for the GOH and the blonde dude recruited Mori but Mori wanted to fight him and managed to break his arm but he still lost and took his first L out of 300 wins.
