We use these all the time here in the UK, they run an approved installer programme a well. Once you are an approved installer, you are listed on their website as such. These are fairly cheap and take minutes to install, well worth it in my opinion especially when they are backed by a 20 year guarantee. A lot of my customers like the guarantee and more often than not, they want these installed as an additional extra.

Would it be ok to use the copper naphthenate on the post then use the post saver over it?

I always wondered about a "lifetime warranty." Once is breaks, etc., that's the END of it's life, so the warranty also expires? Lifetime of the buyer? So a better warranty (statistically) for a 21-year old than a 98-year old?

IMO a better/cheaper way to make a 4x4 last longer is to use roof tar out of the bucket up the 1st 2 and 1/2ft above the post. It creates a barrier between post and concrete and keeps bugs from eating the wood. I have done this to fences that are still standing strong after 10 years of south Florida weather/hurricanes. I expect 15 years when using this method.

Another solution would be to simply not let the “dirt” come into contact with the wooden posts.

Wait, you only have 57K subs?

That does appear to be the number. Fencing is a bit more niche than the giveaway channels.

These things are rubbish, they come away from the post after a few years, then water builds up between the postsaver and the post and rots the wood even faster.
