I wonder how offense will develop in this game. I'm curious to see and excited to find out. Game is a ton of fun and I can't wait for it to release later this year! Hopefully with the rollback it can now have a dedicated playerbase that's bigger than before!

yea im enjoying the beta but the universal mechanic of rising cleary need more time in the oven (the long throw window is the 1st thing i told them in the beta survey) the vanila GBVS also improve a lot after the beta so remember to fill the survey guys

Raging strike is now your mix up tool, throws are now the spot dodge check if someone tries an dodge your raging strike

I’m so excited about this game coming back with functioning netcode, your opponents either got some good reads or they were just cracked to be spot dodging raging strike though

If in pressure and using autocombo, you can spot dodge Raging Strike because it can guard crush and has a gap. But in places where there isn't a gap, you can't spot dodge and there isn't a guard crush. But spot dodge loses to throws, and that's the new mix I was thinking they were trying to implement. Also a little sad I didn't get to show up in his videos. I did play him and I was on stream but I didn't show up in his videos lol.

For reference, guilty Gear strive tech window for throws is 5 frames. So this is over 5 times larger. So long as there are punishes for long blocks, or ways to break guards it will be fine.

One of the things you learn about granblue's pressure game is that staggering normals is pretty strong as a mixup tool since traditional high-low and front-back mix is non-existent for the most part at higher level. Also Yuel's 2m and far 5l are good tools when it comes to her neutral game (2m being another good poke and far 5l being good at catching people walking back). This game is one of my favorites and I hope you keep playing it.

If the game really is, like you said, one where it's difficult to open up people constantly blocking because of a useless throw and poor mixup game (what I'm seeing here), it doesn't bode well for its future. The 1st one flopped and selling this a 2nd time is a hard to swallow pill even moreso when you consider the 1st game's price tag with all dlcs (when you bought them as they came, not the full package a year or 2 later)
