Me and my wife are both retired from AT&T 60 years total and started ebaying 3 years ago. I do all the sourcing she’s mainly clothing I’m everything from LED Zeppelin albums to Mr Christmas Sleigh ride trains. I’ve never had so much fun in my life at age 60. I think you involving your whole family is just wonderful. And Princess of Power!

The Humane Society has an Emergency Animal Relief Fund that you can donate to which will help animals affected by the hurricanes. We just did this. Thought it might help to know that you can help the animals in those areas and also honor Sophie. 😊

It's fantastic to have this depth of help via family and extended family. It's also a wonderful bonding experience! Yet many small resellers don't have those family labor resources, so we are limited by our own available hours to expand unless we can hire help, especially if you are alone. That's the barrier. Most of us don't have "we." But we try.

Princess of Power. I have been doing this as a hobby for the past 2 years. I am working on taking this to a full time job to supplement our retirement income. Hoping to increase my listings to 1000 by the end of 4th quarter. I am listing 50-100 new items a week. I currently store my items in a spare bedroom. The long term goal is to convert a shed we have in the backyard into storage for the business. If I keep my listing goals up, I should reach 1000 listings by the end of November. Sales are increasing each week so that is good. Thanks for all you do to help educate sellers like myself.

There's nothing wrong with a kid working in their family business like this. My family opened a store when I was a kid. The store was built out front of the house so it was nothing for us to be in and out throughout the day. I have memories of the new price tag tool and wanting to play with it so instead of saying no he showed me and told me to put 1 on each other the boxes. I'd get excited when I got home and there was still stuff to price. I did it so well and often that I started getting paid. That was when I was 6 or 7 and in the same natural progression of my intrest my duties and pay develop to the point I was keeping books and assisting them with taxes as a teenager and went on to enter the "Business World " with much more marketable skills then the majority at the same age. It provided me with opportunities. Plus a lot of self confidence. I think it's wonderful I also have been putting up listings to donate to Samaritans Purse and the Cajun Military. Thank you for doing the same.

I'm a full time educator and a little more than part time reseller. I do have a storage unit that I'm trying to clean out to move into a smaller unit. Eventually I'd like to just have enough inventory to keep at the house but I have a lot to list.

Bread and butter items are super great right now because there's a tipping point around 50 dollars where people really do want to put it on facebook marketplace and get their money back out of it. Feels like picking 20 dollar items up for 2 dollars hasn't slowed down that much since people still have to clear out relatives' houses, move to new states etc. But the $50-200 items are being given away to close friends/family and listed locally on places like offerup and facebook by novice resellers who know just enough to get some money back out of their $45 luluemon jackets, for example. Tried to pick up a large Yeti cooler a few weeks ago and had Grandma schooling me on how much a used one would fetch online, lol.
