I have an older V1 Lure 11.5 My friend has newer V2 Lure 11.5 . We have same high back seats but his has to have thicker plastic in the front because the V2 is way heavier just lifting the front. But the whole V2 boat is very noticeably heavier. All we can guess is FeelFree used more thicker plastic with the V2's .

Every measuring device has a normally distributed error in measurement. This error is normally distributed and can be standardized to generate a standard error in measurement. Exact numbers are pretty meaningless. A weight range which includes two times the standard error in measurement will yield a more correct estimation of true weight.❤

Good video! Now you just need to get them out on the water and add sand bags or weights while in the kayak to see how accurate the weight capacities are lol. You flip kayaks now it’s time to sink them haha

I really wish they would get back to building lightweight kayaks. 100lbs+ for a yak is ridiculous. Better hope that drive never breaks and you have to paddle that thing back to shore.

Aliex, you have reviewed so many kayaks you have likely come to the same conclusion I and others have, that in many instances, kayaks are designed on computers by nerds, many likely never were even tested on the water before being released to the public with design flaws. Why do I think this? Sometimes the flaws are so very obvious, it makes one wonder how they could have released it to the market if they knew about them. Here: 1) An otherwise great kayak that couldn't be off-loaded from a trailer or truck bed without dragging/damaging its rudder (a fix was made for it); 2), a well-regarded kayak that twisted badly in its glide ( a fix was made for to solve this issue); 3) common to several pedal kayaks were drive systems that were almost totally non-functioning crap . . . yet still released to unsuspecting buyers; 4) several thermo-formed kayaks that leaked badly were likely never stress tested by designers; 5) several kayaks that needed more plastic/better support in sensitive areas like pressure points on plastic under seats that required beefing them up after-purchase. I bet you could add dozens of such examples from your broad experiences. Keep up the good work!!! *** Oh! Other than weight, they also often overstate a kayak's weight capacity load. Cheers! Brad
