What some don’t realize is how exciting someone gets with any mod that might improve track their times. Adding a wing isn’t just about looking neat it’s about function something that will help handling and better times at the track. People that have never track raced just don’t get. To some of them it’s about a car looking the way they would like it to. It might amaze some what adding or changing something as simple as removing a chrome wheel guard. Now let me know if you can figure out what a chrome wheel guard is? I really am truly happy for you. This is what it is like to make your car truly yours and I respect that and you. BTW A friend of mine actually has more holes in his trunk lid than you. He went on line and found a used trunk lid for about $300 dollars plus $45 to have it shipped to him. He was lucky he found one the same color as his mustang. For now he used color - it’s close to his Mustangs - duck tape to put over the holes to keep water out.

It's known..I know a lot would not get this mod and the reason behind it. So many are just into the go fast mods and nothing else. Understandable. I want to push the limit and my skill with a car that I need to learn and perform in. I'm happy to do so. Ed's Fortune You’re a moron. A stock GT350R can’t beat a normal ZL1 (google the lap times), let along a ZL1 1LE. So a normal GT350 won’t even come close to Porsche. Add the aero and you have a competitive chance. Do youself a favor and look into the GT3/GT4 race classes. You’ll learn something or two. Ford built a consumer “track” car for guys like you..consumer. You want to push the capabilities..you modify it like real track cars do. Keep your car stock buddy. Don’t even think about doing anything to it.

As always, thanks for the video, Doris. I like the addition of the big APR wing on the GT350. Anything that is race functional looks good to me, and your GT350 is certainly becoming a race car. I'm also looking forward to the carbon fiber hood, which will reduce front end weight. You could be right about a carbon fiber trunk not supporting the APR wing, but would a regular trunk lid still be lighter than the stock one? If so, that's what really matters. Keep up the good work!

Thanks! It's slowly becoming one surely..just a few more (a lot more lol) things to do. The hood will reduce weight and allow for much needed pressure relief\cooling. As for the trunk..the weight is not much of a benefit if it cannot handle the stress. So we'll see. Thanks for watching!

Hi D what you have done to your car is absolutely correct and I can't wait to see the rear diffuser the hole package will look and make the handle great on track and not to bad on road but best on track. The holes can always be covered up with duck tape or rubber grommets nice job so far and if that was my car I'd do the same bits you have done absolutely love the Ford GT350 fantastic car. 👌🤗👌🇬🇧🇬🇧🤗👌

Nice video. I wanted a real look at that wing on a Mustang. Been looking at a Bullitt but that car needs a wing. Just looks so bare. The APR is one of the models I have been looking at and it is still up there. Saw a Viper over the weekend with a similar wing. It really stands out and looks like a track car.

The car looks AWESOME!. Doris if you would like to do a quick repair on the trunk. It wont cost much just to do a quick repair. You can get putty at a home depot or what not. Once dried sand it down but only using your hands no machine as to not scratch rest of trunk and then get color correct paint. Again super cheap. It's usually sells in small bottles a few ounces worth. The blue stripe will be a little harder to cover but I'm sure you can find it. Again that's only just in case it does happen to rain the trunk wont get wet.

What I have done in the past regarding the holes is use color coded electrical tape to keep dust and water out. you will be surprised how long the 'temporary' solution lasts, lol ...car looks great now Doris! can't wait for the track day videos!

Holy Downforce Batman! That wing is no joke Sister. Looks kinda sinister though with your GT350 paint color. The cool thing is we get to try different looks and level of functionality with our cars, that's part of the fun. I come up behind a GT350 with that wing and I'm probably going to tuck my little GT Coyote tail in and cruise behind it 😏. As far as the holes in the decklid, it's like I have a self inflected dent (thought those ramps were on the wall good) in a lower side panel and if I fix it I know I will probably get hit the next day so I drive it! Awesome video. Stress was definitely higher than the Mclaren video. Giggles meter was having a hard time registering much of the beautiful and unique giggles you are famous for. I could see the frustration on your face, but again another mission impossible accomplished. Well done sweetheart... my respect keeps growing for you. Also much admiration and respect for Chris who is always there for the rescue. God bless him. Finally this 3” ground clearance is going to be a pain on street and track. A good amount..that's for any part you're replacing. This hood weighs about 32lbs..the dry carbon I'm getting comes in at 20lbs.

You can get some plugs and rtv them in. Just keep an eye on the inside of your trunk for water when you wash it.

Nice wing thanks for sharing.I think using thread lock on nuts it not a bad idea because of vibration and also using paint color in drilling points prevent rust in future. and there is no need to buy brand new trunk lid those holes can easily covered by professional body shop.

Thanks! the hardware nuts are nylon, so they will hold in place with vibration. The I have a black car, so it's way easier to find a trunk that color and will likely be cheaper than patching and repainting. But we'll see. I have to figure it out.
