They Made a Boruto Game (It Failed.)

After a long wait we finally got Naruto Storm connections! The only downside though.... They didn't really deliver what we all wanted. The Boruto game itself is fine but with missing features, no invites online, and much more the game is performing worse than storm 4! today we check out connections again and try to see what went wrong!

​@@atpr3241even though storm Revolution added two things in it that broke the game, i would say storm Revolution was one of the best and most balanced storm games in terms of rewarding skill. Storm 3 could've been the best if it didn't have so many oppressive character and team combinations along with the team UJ glitch and instant awakening. Storm 4 would be the best if it didn't lower the skill gap by adding the leader switch gimmick as a mid-fight feature and deciding to omit the balancing and new mode and fan service ideas that were well-received by the consumers on Revolution

One thing to help you improve if you actually plan to play this game more is to do Leader-switching. Bascially as your attacking your opponent, switch to another char mid combo to either be safe or interrupt your opponents atk and get more hits on them.

This is risky. They can just adapt and counterattack if keep trying to team switch. It’s not reliable.

I have to learn how to do it well. I literally almost never team switch but with these Rasengan and Chidori spammers I have to(I learned that team switching has more priority over jutsus so it beats it every time but I’m not used to doing it so I always forget to mid match).

@@Azuredock7912 Yea, it beating out most jutsu's is the main reason to do it or to extend your combos to another character if your low on chakra. But you just do a couple of atks and then switch to the next person hoping to interrupt them while their blocking if they try to do something.

Even if they do the matchmaking stuff people want in a patch, connections would need a balance patch too, the regular jutsus are all over the place in terms of usability, some are ok and others are wildly busted especially as assists like pain and that one Naruto that throws like 50 shadow clones

@@raiseasato Calling this is filler game is right on the money. It is basically storm 4 with minor changes. No new boss battles was added (no quick time events or stage changes when the bosses health got low, just a simple fight with more heath), new game play tweaks that more or less broke the game ( Justsu are overpowered and need an overhaul), online friend battles don’t exist, and apparently some bugs from storm 4 never got corrected( Hokage Naruto Awakening into the Last KCM). Calling this filler is fair, or my favorite an overpriced DLC.

Still playing and having a lot of fun. I don’t like the jutsu super armor but besides that this is the most fun storm game for me. The fighting mechanics are fun and team customization is as diverse as ever with everyone having 2 jutsu. They gotta fix the rage quitting and custom lobbies tho fs.

A few suggestions to make the game better stronger guards, not every justu is armored, able to invite your friends, less huge maps (for runners) update a lot of older characters moveset when grown i bet it will feel like a different game

the super armor in some jutsus work different than others and it's broken, for example sasuke black chidori simply ignores other melee jutsus, and there is some like kid kakashi that you can't even cancel

Yo Doto just want you to know if you see them doing an assist you can flick the right stick either left or right and leader change-- Leader Change Dash has higher priority than Super Armour so you'll hit them and the assist though it does vary and sometimes the online won't give you the Leader Change Dash just the normal Leader Change so use it wisely

Actually, why even hype up Boruto if there arent any Boruto characters other than the main 3 plus Naruto and Sasuke for the umteenth time? Yeah cool, villains are in. But what about the other 90%? Some characters have the same moveset since storm 2. It might be time to rework a bunch. Like imagine less versions of characters but the characters have forms. Same base moveset but instead of the items on the d pad you change form (up base naruto, left sage mode, right kcm, down sage of 6) each having their own moveset but you can change quickly. Kinda lime devil may cry. Then you either have the ultimate or unlock it by doing something specific, kinda like a nice finisher. Before you ask about less shown characters, just team them up and change characters. Maybe some interactive stuff on stage and not the old moveset from storm 2, new ones

The game shouldn’t be over 29.99 it’s basically Storm 4 dlc or a PS5 update they changed a few things and said it’s a new game. Guards are way too easy to break, took out tilts (for a second jutsu i am aware of that) can’t invite your friends, some characters have had the same combos/ults since storm 1 and 2, the story mode or the history mode I mean. With many more issues but overall the games just not worth it they added like 10 actually new characters everyone else is just copy and paste

The reason for the quality drop here is probably due to CC2 putting a lot of their effort into releasing their own IP called Fuga Melodies Of Steel. Personally I’d check it out if you’re into story heavy strategy games. Though it’s a shame the quality of this game may have dropped due to it.

I play both Connections and Storm 4 atm on Steam and the only thing Connections did better than 4 is 2 jutsus and a few more characters. Armored jutsus are the biggest problems, idk how it is for you on ps but here on pc almost everyone uses op teams and spams jutsus like hell and automatic chakra recharge doesn't help

I’m so glad I saw this game for what it is . A cash grab marketed as a new game for full price!! No inviting of friends on launch? Super armor on jutsu? Hundreds of characters with most being reskins? (Big issue with anime games). Xbox couldn’t even play online for a month!! (Not sure if it’s been fixed I own said console hence I’m SO glad I gave this no attention!! 60 FPS? More reskinned characters? A real combo system? All things they could have updated the 6 to 7 year old Storm 4 title with more than likely!! I haven’t touched Storm 4 in years but if I decide to I’d be still quite happy with it. Yes even the 30 FPS Never mind the awful dub controversy (which they said will be fixed in the future somehow) No idea how such an oversight occurred. The actors have outright denied the lines were delivered as they are in this game.

Far as gameplay, it’s the best Storm game imo(besides invincible f*cking jutsus, who tf thought that that was a good idea?) but everything is severely lacking. History Mode is purely slideshows into fights(bosses are incredibly easy just like 4), Special Story is pretty decent, Online is barebones af(still can’t invite friends yet even after 2 months). With the amount of time they had(4 years), it could’ve and should’ve been better

i`ve never liked naruto that much(cause 60% filler and other stuff) and never really got into any naruto games but its sad to see new online games have 150 peak players.And for me personally,storm series is so unorthodox that i cant play it for more than 10 minutes without having a stroke cuz its mostly based on mind games and im dumb as a box of rocks(also story mode sucks with all that walking for 10 hours before actually playing)

They got rid of tilts and charged shuriken but in exchange you get an alternate jutsu mapped to the same buttons as the charged shuriken. The only other combat thing I can thing of is you can hit people as their falling to the ground. Aside from that the only other thing I've noticed is just that they added palette swap outfits and accessories you can add

There's a pretty good original story written by Kishimoto that I thought was worth the buy. But other than that, the only new additions are the characters from the trailers.

One of the Great things about storm four was that it took "Strategy"to win, That game was about waiting and finding the open to when your opponent was low of defensive options. You would run, our of chakra all the time, sub, tools, and Justus's weren't as broken. This game feel just like a button masher. The spammers are loving how broken the jutsu have become.

Its probably the zero communication with the players that CC2 has done that is killing the game. Idk why, but most devs that have Bandai as a publisher have trash communication with their fan base. The rare exception is the tekken devs.
