Somehow, it happened. The modders have added a new column for fighters in the roster, AMAZING. For context, it was common knowledge for a while in the modding community that having more than 91 icons in the CSS would crash the game, but somehow we got to 98, and we probably can go even higher in the future, that's HUGE for the future of Ultimate. If you ask me, Ultimate is officially in second place for the best modding scene and capabilities and it's so close to surpass first place (Brawl).

The limit was broken by me in january of this year, and CoolSonicKirby used my discovery to create a tool that allows anyone to easily add extra characters to their game. If you're curious, the limit is now 256, so in a few years from now we may have PM Ex Remix for Ultimate :^)

Dude, Brawl's hacking scene was so much fun, so I'm not too surprised that it hasn't been topped, but I do hope Ultimate gets there someday!

@@KayFiOS Well, at this rate, it will take a LONG time before a new Smash Game gets released, and that time serves for players to start liking the game more. The time between Melee and Brawl is about 7 years and that made a community that's loyal to that game and to this day they keep enhancing Melee. The time between Brawl and Smash 4 was about 6 years and while Brawl had it's flaws, it still made a big fanbase that makes mods for this game, making Brawl whatever they want it to be, and bypassing boundaries that seemed impossible to even reach (to this day). Smash 4 didn't had much luck cause it was the first game with DLC, which made ambitious mods like the ones Brawl very rare (because if you started developing a mod for a new character but a DLC dropped, now the mod needed an update to accomodate the new DLC) and when the DLC stopped, it merely took 2 years for a new smash to launch. Smash 64 had the worst luck by far, cause not only modding wasn't a thing until DECADES after it was released, but the time between Smash 64 and Melee was only about 2 years, barely anything. Smash Ultimate is about to be 5 years old and Sora's release is about to be 2 years old and with no new game insight, Ultimate's modding looks SO promising.

here's a few boss tips: - master hand's spike ball can be picked up like a barrel if timed correctly - almost any boss projectiles can be reflected, pocketed or absorbed (master hand's spike ball can't be absorbed) - galeem and dharkon's x-bombs can be destroyed with any attacks before it detonates

The boss attacks can also be countered, according to my WoL experience

I did a World of Light playthrough without any spirits. Took years. And yes, the bosses are the main reason why. Dracula and Dharkon in particular took the longest to figure out strategies for. But because I've done that, I know each of these bosses inside and out. If I get my hands on modding capabilities, this mod will be one of the first I get. Because I know the best moves for the bosses to use, as well as the best strategies for beating them all. Kinda wish I was there with the BSD in person. I'm just waiting for an opportunity to nerd out about everything I know about these guys.

I love all the Boss battles in this game, they were all super fun and challenging but I still can't believe Sakurai (THE GOAT) didn't add a Boss Rush in this game like previous Smash games. It's okay though cause Sakurai needed the rest and adding it would've made him more tired

You can actually fight all Bosses (except gallem and dharkon) when you choose sephiroth on classic mode

Option 1: Classic mode 2 player, player 1 is Sepiroth, player 2 is whoever you want to play as. Kill player 1 at the start of the match, use player 2. Option 2: World of Light, go to the final boss stage, you will have to do some parkour and fights in between, but eventually a small boss rush will happen

Here's a big missed opportunity: in the spirit collection, you can pick a spirit, and if they have a spirit battle, you can fight the spirit battle. Because you get the spirit of each boss after defeating them, it would only make sense to let you fight them using the spirit battle feature.

Mii Brawler NSpecial 1 is broken against stationary bosses, makes you invincible during the whole thing. Hopefully you two can try it out

@@bubbles46853-ep9if When you hit someone with NSpecial, you get invincibility frames during the move, so you can basically avoid critical attacks while still doing damage. I'm pretty sure it works against most bosses as long as they don't move.

Rathalos's fireballs can be reflected (except his background attack), which deals a great amount of damage. Rosalina's down special can also destroy Marx by using attacks like his Cutter move against him (especially noticeable if you did her Classic Mode where he's her boss fight).
