I agree that Fidlock buckles are not necessarily an "upgrade" in all situations. Particularly when added to a bag flap, they can sometimes close intentionally. Similarly, yes, while riding a motorcycle, I'm not sure I'd trust some times of Fidlock buckles.

I think I'll stick my original city sling. The buckle is big and chunky but it's secure and I like the look. I wouldn't be comfortable with that magnetic lock; if it's anything like the needlessly-changed compression straps on the Aer TP3, it will could come undone.

This video was right on point for me. I narrowed down to the City Sling 2 for motorcycle rides. Was considering to strap it at my waist when I ride, and shoulders when I'm not. However, I was concerned about the Fidlock being unreliable during riding. You mentioned that the fasteners were secure in some ways, but still very easy to operate in your video. Just wondering what are you opinions now after 2 months? Do you think they are secure enough? Cheers!

I am an android user and don't have an iPad to test this. But I would speculate that an iPad mini might not fit or at least it would be a very tight fit. But this is definitely just speculation on my part
