The greatest wet dream of the minimalism Darth side in me is to create one bag that can be used all year long in cold, hot, or even rainy weather. I don't travel that much, actually not at all, but I just have wet dreams.

I get what you are saying. Getting a bag and a slingbag is probably a better option. But I still need to applaud them for thinking out of the box
@linedwell6 күн бұрын
@Youknowthebo definitely. It pushes innovation, but sometines, innovation is unnecessary, overly costly and ultimately redundant. Bags are to carry stuff from here to there and back, that's their purpose in life and I think bag makers sometimes forget that and overbuild, over engineer and overcharge.

I thought maybe I wouldn't like the Rework Toshi Sling because it might be too big but once I got it in my hands it's the best sling bag I've ever used. They really nailed the functionality of an EDC sling.
@Youknowthebo6 күн бұрын
Thanks for sharing your experience with the Toshi slingbag
@MrJed_s7 күн бұрын
I love the idea of EDC sling integration with a bag, but imo it doesn't need to be more complicated than a pocket that's sized perfectly for a given sling (apparently Cotopaxi does this). Still, I love seeing brands get creative and the backpack itself looks really solid.
@Youknowthebo6 күн бұрын
Yeah, it potentially is too complicated. But I agree: love seeing brands trying new ideas

I felt the same way initially about the Rework Toshi sling size but it has been awesome to use. The ability to look sleek when not packed out and its versatility to carry larger items has been awesome. It’s been my favorite piece of gear this year. Looking forward to see what Rework does next.

It’s all clearly for affiliate marketing. He has links to all that stuff I’m the description
@Youknowthebo7 күн бұрын
I somewhat understand what you are saying. However, I clearly mention in the beginning that I was thinking of not liking it because it was too complicated and too big. But it grew on me over time. I mentioned multiple times that I prefer smaller slingbags, but all of us are open to change our minds. And to Jonathan. I always respect opinion and constructive critism. But You overestimate how much you can earn with affiliate marketing. The amount you can actually earn with affiliate marketing is really low compared to the production costs of these videos. I spend at least 10hours to create a video plus add all of the costs for equipment, music and software. What I have earned in the last two months with affiliate marketing overall doesn't even cover the production cost of one video (even if I only apply minimum wage in that calculation) . Sorry, for getting this defensive, but to insinuate that my opinion changes due to affiliate marketing is a bit unfair Imho.

@dennistan68175 күн бұрын
@jonathanfelso sour grape much. If you are jealous go do something about it and earn some affiliate marketing money instead of spending your time whining. If you did you will realise the money ain't that much and most people do it only for the passion and the money is only a small bonus

I've been using my Decathlon €70 tent for 6 or 7 years and it's still going strong. I camp ~20 nights/year and only in the wild, so not clean camping areas - sometimes there's rocks and/or branches that I either can't remove, or I miss them. I also have one of their puffy jackets that I've been wearing almost exclusively for the past 3 winters and the same - it is still in perfect condition. And it's super warm - it uses 800 fill power down and I can go in -15 degree weather with just a t-shirt underneath. It also packs quite small in a satchel. And it was €60-ish. Decathlon doesn't make the most ultra-light gear, doesn't use the most premium materials, but what they do make is decent quality for a very good price. Also not checking a bag isn't about waiting at the carousel, but it's not about bringing it on public transit or cobblestone streets either... It's about being able to arrive at the airport 30min before the gate closes (yes, I actually intentionally do this, I hate waiting around for departure), it's about one less thing to worry about, about the peace of mind that all your stuff is there within arm's reach, about the comfort of no matter what hickups might come up, I'm fine doing anything/going anywhere with that one backpack on my back. And lastly it can also be about cost - when you pay €50 for the flight, an extra €35 to check a bag means a lot.
@Youknowthebo8 күн бұрын
Thanks for sharing your experience. I definitely need to check out Decathlon in the future.

@Youknowthebo13 күн бұрын
I understand what you are saying. However, in a work environment in which the client sits next to you (which is the case in most editing session in which at least a director sits next to you), a vision pro isn't practical. Furthermore, I would argue that the vision pro would be more exhausting over longer periods of work sessions. Moreover the price is very different

I have been a xreal glasses user for over a year becasen of traveling and work its kk as stand alone but VERY eye restraining. Even for me as a vr player the the beam is so crap that its sole existence is the reason why we have consumer protection in the west I want to smash it to bits every time I use the beam. Save your money lads trust me I really wanted to like them as well. I always have issues with the beam when trying to connect them wired and wireless on both pc and android unused different pcs and phones. They have terrablem software support on the beam this youtuber are a conman one of these youthber got me to buy mine it was absolute wast of money at best only buy the glasses everything else is a gimmick
@Youknowthebo14 күн бұрын
Thanks for sharing your experience with these glasses. I am sorry to hear that you have issues with the glasses AS WELL. I put an emphasis on "as well" because I clearly state my issues with the glasses in the video and mention negatives about both items. Which is why I don't understand why you call me a "conman". If I would "con" you into buying the item, I would not mention my issues with the glasses and some of the negatives with the beam. Again: I am sorry to hear that you have issues with the Beam. I have some issues as well. And I clearly state that I can not use them and wasn't able to fully review them due to my motion sickness , but I still like the products for what they are and what they could provide in theory. I thank you for sharing your experience and respect your opinion, I just have an issue being called a "conman". Thanks for watching anyways.

About the AirTags, you're absolutely right about the spotty coverage. You can open them up and replace the CR2032 battery. I use a combination of AirTag, AIrCard (from RollingSquare), the PinCard Pro Mini (from MoMAX) and the Tracking Card (by Nomad). All 4 have their unique use cases. I stick one inside my hard bike case, taped to the back wall with black gaffer's tape (it's nearly flat, and Qi rechargeable), I toss another in my folded clothes in my checked bag, another goes into the side pocket of my dopp kit, another goes into a credit card slot in my wallet, one lives on the back of my laptop, another inside my iPad case and so on. The AirTags are big and easily spotted by thieves, so I only use those for items that are in arm's reach, like my keys or other items. The flat tracker cards are not cheap, but they have more features for what I need.
