I finally got the ROLL on 9/21/24...Slideshot / Opening Shot / 63 Range / 53 Stability / 62 Handling. I willing to sacrifice some range for more STABILITY. ZkMushroom has the max range but he only had 20 stability on his gun. No thanks!

I understand that they nerfed explosive payload pretty bad, both the range and the flinch it deals, but honestly I can’t help but prefer it over opening shot in most occasions.

They didn't nerf the range of explosive payload lol thats why explosive payload is so good even with the nerf to flinch because the explosive part has no damage fall off

When they changed the health values of guardians, it messed with the total damage of an explosive payload shot, which is probably a rounding issue or something, so now the total damage of an explosive payload shot is I believe 78, whilst a normal hand cannon is 80. So whilst it’s true that part of the explosive payload shot doesn’t have fall off, a HC with explosive payload will fail to achieve a third headshot kill quicker than one without it. That’s why explosive payload is a now a trade off perk rather than an instant pick. It’s also why you see many content creators swap their explosive payload Rose to one with Opening Shot.

I love my personal god roll- moving target + eye of the storm. Opening is only good on the 1st shot, I’d rather take a dueling neutral perk. It feels so sticky

It’s very skill/playstyle dependent. In higher skilled lobbies and scrims sometimes it’s just taking single shots at a time and waiting for a mistake to punish. For dueling in most cases I also prefer EOS as well. Opening shot also affects the AA cone growth for the 2 shots after even though the first shot is the only one to get range and extra AA. Both perks are S tier.

It’s about the aim assist cone and bloom. The range is only on the first shot but the way it effects the aim assist cone it effects 3 shots.

ZK I love you BUT a god Roll Lunas Howl is S tier and competes on par with rose once you manage the recoil. I have the 5/5 Golden Variation of Lunas Howl: Hammer Forge, Ricochet rounds, slide shot (enhanced), opening shot (enhanced), with a ranged MW. This thing just does not miss, is super sticky, maps people, and looks incredible with that golden tip skin!

My rose has Smallbore, Accurized Rounds, Slideshot, and EOTS, both enchanted w/ a range master work and it is by far my fav gun in the game. It’s amazing. I’m pretty mid in trials and never felt confident enough to go into trials with a HC, but the last couple of times in trials, I was poppin off with it. I have a god rolled Explosive payload one too. Same roll as my other one but with EP. Love it. It does suck that they nerfed EP. It definitely needed a small bump in dmg because it’ll take out out of three tap range faster
