Very nice indeed. Had to laugh at your comment on hitting the camera. I did that last year when flying up at the school yard football pitch (American football) and was flying back and forth between the goal posts, and hit one of the upright head on. They've addressed the Yaw twitch issue the Magnum has by the in built soft mount. Never had a problem with the ufl connector breaking like the Unifry Race rubbish. I hope they reinforced the vtx button as that breaks off very easily. I reinforced mine with e6000. This is a great RTF, and at a good price.

If only the props didn't show so much in the fpv feed I'd be sold. Reminds me of the XJB 145 that I hated after I got it. Glad you used DVR forage instead of a GoPro like everyone else or I would have made another purchase I instantly regretted.

I bought this a wk ago.... love this quad.... hate the receiver! The bind button was stiff and not pressing down since day 1. Had an issue keeping it bound and it after trying several times to bind it the button broke. And now I can not remove it from the board. Grrrr

Hi, Andy! I love your content, and watch (or at least check out, if what you're reviewing is relevant to me) every episode of yours. I like that you've added some music to your LOS test. You're pretty good at LOS, by the way! With me, although I've got to say that I'm a noob, I can't fly LOS *at all* . Your FPV flying is also good, I think! With that though, I have a comment. I think where you fly should be more varied. You're always standing at the same spot, flying up and down the same field. I think that for consistency, since you're testing a lot of quads, this is a good idea - which I'm guessing is partly why you do it. You want the viewers to be able to see the difference between the quads given the same testing conditions. While you're still commenting, I think this is still a good idea. However, when you're done with that, you "leave us with some FPV footage" - which *I* think should consist of different places of flying. Perhaps just flying through to that other part of the field to the right of your usual location. I hate to say it, but your videos can turn a little monotonous, with every review turning out sort of the same way. Again, you're one of my favorites, and I bought a Leader 120 solely thanks to you. Cheers!

Great review Andy have you heard anything on the SPC Maker 140x? It comes as a BNF with xm+ so it's been on my radar. Would you recommend this emax for a first time acro flyer? It's expensive but I've saved enough to get it but I do believe you mentioned to me that the hglrc xjb145 would be good to learn however I would be learning in LOS till I continue to save for my goggles. Hey Andy got mine today. Bound great with my D8 DJT but throttle is on roll stick and pitch is on the throttle stick? I can't arm of course because of this and fly mode2. Switches are assigned correct and work but sticks all mixed up. Any clues? I bought it off a US seller. It says D8 in instructions and I bound with D8 DJT module. 6s vrs plastic canopy version.

Any idea why the vtx band keeps changing? Mine is currently set at band “A”. But keeps changing to some weird “c” on the quad display. Then changes back to “A”. I can’t fly FPV without loosing video. Thanks.

The dark Max is still a great model and yes it takes a 6s but I only have 2 six s batteries cus of their cost and the emax fly's faster on a 4s than the dark Max does. Cheers

This kwad is 🔥🔥🔥 for a bnf...But Andy let's be real, has emax really made a bad product in the last year or so?...Even the orignal babyhawk flew great, a pig, needed tuned but still flew great! Coming from a new pilot an someone who owns 5 ultralights, buy this...I've gotten a 7min flight chilling on a 1500. Just all around an amazing quad! One request Andy, do a follow up freestsyle video with this guy....never really seen you do one outside the gt5 stuff!

Looks like an awesome model. Still, I like to fly something more sturdy for some ease of mind. But with a stronger frames comes more weight and with more weight come bigger motors and even more weight, etc.

The excess motor wire is so u can add longer arms and run as a 6 inch. An inch of extra wire is already accounted for

AndyRC than the litespec? The only reason i want to switch because the stock motor with aluminum threads are weak. I stripped the whole thread of just by over tightening the prop nuts. So the rsii titanium poles might be alot stronger. Would the rsii 2206 2700kv go good with dal5040c?
