They NERFED Pass Royale.

P2W players got a nerf. The diamond pass is quite similar in value to the old gold tier. BUT the F2P players got a buff, because the bottleneck of progression is gold and they gave F2P players 60k more gold per season. They also removed books from the pass so this is a big hit to near maxed out players, but a buff to early players that can only use books on level 8-10 cards. To compensate for the removal of books, they've added a lot more cards in the tracks.

Well, it costs more for Supercell to run the servers because power costs more, directly increases running costs and then they make everything more expensive + Google play do change the prices as well. It's not the same proportion though, they are charging way more than the increased costs. Inflation is always present, in anything!

Basic economics knowledge essentially In this case, the inflation that is occuring is essentially a chain; wage increase due to inflation, SC is having to spend more money on electricity, keep up costs, and to increase their revenue We all do also get rises in wages but it's not quite the same rate for each country, some countries will experience worse inflation so the increase in in-game costs affects each nation differently

You're right it doesn't cost any more it just makes the $5 dollars worth less but the greedy team at royale still want to make their same $5 value so they increased the 5 to 6.

Economists are inherently greedy/stingy people by nature. Supercell is the sneakiest stingiest company I’ve ever played a game from, way worse than Activision. I knew this was going to happen months ago when they revamped the shop values.

From my opinion, the most disturbing changes are not to the new tiers but to the small things. By removing chests and gold from the events, they are forcing players to play two types of game modes only for maximum progression. And how can they justify removing book of books, if they are giving LEVEL 1 players ARCHER QUEEN?? Isn't a 14 megaknight mid ladder the SAME as lv 11 archer queen at the bottom of the ladder?
