D Rose is the reason all these guards do now is shoot 3's. He was peek athletics in the 1 spot. Nobody could touch him. At the same time it showed what that kind of play style can do to the body. Players don't dunk and do crazy shit like they used to, because they want as long as a career as possible.

Old injuries without correct treatment, it was a series of mistakes. Explosive players need special strengthening training, something that wasn't done at the time. Lots of force and speed for propulsion, with incorrect landings.
