I saw a video where they say The parents are buried right next to her in unmarked graves. No one knows why they wanted unmarked but seen how they grieved their daughter, my theory is they wanted her to get the full attention.

I believe the parents are buried by thier daughter. They just don't want attention. But no parent that loved thier child that much would not have been buried anywhere else. They would of wanted to be near her. I'm sure after her parents were both deceased the cemetery out of respect closed up the window. I'm glad.she should be left alone now. It's ok to pay respect. But I also believe they are together. I'm glad the cemetery is well kept. Love, respect and positivity always . Neita james.🙏🌟🦋🌠✨🙌🌻🌷💐👋.

I really feel for Ellen, losing a child is a parents’ worst nightmare. I’ve just witnessed it firsthand. My HR manager just lost her 28-year-old daughter to a stroke. She was about to be married and was working on her MBA. To say she is a shadow of her former self is an understatement. She goes to tend to her grave almost every day and says it feels like part of her soul has died along with her girl.

When I was a child my sister's and I would find flower's for the grave's that were bare that were a little used but it broke our heart's to see a grave left with no flower's. A lot of people spend Memorial day at the lake or off doing other recreational activitie's and don't even give the grave's the respect they deserve. My family alway's went to the graveyard and made a day of it. There was singing and food, it was quite an occasion. Now the graveyard has few people there remembering their loved one's. My dad would alway's say don't worry about bringing me flower's when I'm gone because I'm not there, just the remainder of my body. I'm not going to be there because I'll be with Jesus. It's true to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, Jesus Christ our Savior and Redeemer. What a lovely concept.

Hey Lamont. I copied this from another site about her parents HER PARENTS ARE THERE WITH HER? One of our very first subscribers and friend, Barbara Town wrote: "I also did a lot of research on the Ford family. Mr. Ford was a successful businessman who died in Natchez and was buried at the same cemetery, grave unmarked. Mrs. Ford then moved to Pennsylvania to live with her sister. She died there and her body was transported back to Natchez for burial. There is all kinds of misinformation on the internet about where they actually landed for burial. After much investigating, I found out that both parents were indeed buried in the Ford plot, next to Florence, although their graves remain unmarked. The Ford plot can accommodate 3." ------ Thanks Barbara!

What an interesting story Lamont. I was recently at a cemetery here in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and went inside a very modern mausoleum. I knew that there were several different families cremains. The front of the vault was glass and you could see inside and view the urns and the little trinkets that were buried with the people. I thought this was very nice, the way we bury our loved ones today sure has changed from years past. I love watching your videos, thanks for sharing this one!

I'm going to guess her daughter was in a coffin laying down. Not like that one grave in the northeast where a man was buried with a window looking down into his face in the grave. Supposedly for years one could see a skull down there until the glass got frosted over.

I don't think the window existed. Or it was torn out in 1887 when they buried Washington in the vault. His funeral expense in his probate packet was for the wall into the Family Vault to be rebuilt by a brickmason. There was no receipts for gravediggers. Ellen left to permanently live in Philadelphia around 1872/1873 per her lawyer affidavit (She had to contest the claim of Henrietta Mercer Ford, Washington's 2nd wife, on the estate. She proved that despite separating they had never divorced). I think the window story is exaggerated.

I've visited this graveyard and this grave many years ago. There's a Civil War graveyard across the street from this one which contains the remains of Northern soldiers who died there during the war. It's situated on the Mississippi River. Thanks for your vlogs. It's obvious how much you care about the stories you're us.

The family owned a fairly large cotton plantation with 24 slaves prior to the Civil War (census report 1850), following which the father lost most of the land along with most of his money. That may have something to do with it. I expect they were then forced to live on much more modest means. Ellen moved to Philadalphia for some years, I presume following the death of her husband, where they had ties from their early marriage, perhaps family (?) and she died there, then was transported back to Natchez to be buried with her husband and daughter. There were remaining family and friends in Natchez, but possibly it was either her wish, or money or a combination of both which left their graves unmarked.

The grief of child loss is something I can't even explain. It is worse than any physical pain you can possibly feel . It feels like your insides are being twisted and your heart being crushed. . . I lost both of my girls, one at birth and then another at 21 yrs old. It has been 3 yrs now since my 21 yr old passed, but you carry the emptiness for the rest of your life. I get through because I know I will see them again.

This is not the first cemetery Channel video on KZbin of this little angel and her story about her mother and history, reports of visitors visiting her grave the same way mimicking her mother's activities during storms. From what I remember however, where the window was has since been covered over behind a concrete slab however. The slab of concrete is on another video and the approx height where the window once was . May this little angel rest in peace.

Hi Lamont, I was curious to see what happened to her parents and it looks like she moved to Philadelphia where Ellen, the mother passed away Nov 2, 1892 but was buried in an unmarked grave at this cemetery (I would assume she would be buried by her daughter). Her father, Washington passed away Oct 11,1887 in Natchez, MS and is also buried in an unmarked grave. I assume the wife moved to Philly after she lost her husband.
