Slim pickins. Would've been fun to see more of this yard sooner.

Very unfortunate. I could spend hours scrounging in there... at the end, that looked to be a '64 Fairlane in that sink hole. Those cars were a part of my childhood, I like those cars!

Growing up all my parts came from Mitchell's junk yard in Maryland, it's all gone now housing project took it over. Those were the days, last thing I bought for 35 dollars was a k frame for a 67 dodge. 30 dollars for a transmission for my 69 roadrunner. I bought the roadrunner for 300. Gone are the days.

Thanks, oddly fascinating : search,recycle, & discover….. Interestingly, reminds me of our old ( MIKE GILL SALVAGE, WARSAW INDIANA)Yard( primarily junk vehicles &/#stuff, piled several deep in some areas) : actually did give me $100.00 for My complete 1977 TRANS AM / SE /HURST HATCH/ Loaded /6.6L :: actually the 1977 SNOWFLAKE RIMS, were worth that , even in *1995 : high miles,terrible rust,even seeped into frame)…Interestingly, we had a :** 1959 Coronet station Wagon, 1953, & 1956 Ford, Also in that junk yard….etc.
@moparnut62868 ай бұрын
Me too same thing here in NJ... Most where bought out by Mexican corporations that bought all the cars and shipped them back to Mexico... Then the yard becomes a recycle only yard buying and selling metals.... Only a few yards left and mostly modern stuff and they can only keep them around for 6 months then its off to the crusher at $600 a pop or more.

Been nice if they used the new way back in the old days, like how they prop them off the ground in an orderly fashion, but not the limited time frame and government involvement

Was this the old junkyard on the north side of 64?

This would be south of 64 between lanesville and Corydon. You might be thinking of Zellers, hes north but west of corydon 15 mile or so
