DNR stocks a couple of creeks in west GA that feed into the Tallapoosa, probably how it got there. Nice find.

I can’t believe how that fish double hooked itself! The whopper plopper was twice his size!

I know! These red bellies are relentless!

The DNR stocks trout in a few creeks that feed into the tallapoosa river. Doesn't effect the river too much because they normally die by the time they make it to the tallapoosa river.

Really? I couldn’t find any information about this online
@FIREbirdaustin2 жыл бұрын
Plus I couldn’t find any areas of public land at any of the feeder creeks. Unless they are stocking under a kayak launch or bridge, i dont know where else they’d do this. Either way I’ve been fishing here for a while and never seen any in there. Surprised the mess outta me to see a trout that far south

I'm going after a tallapoosa bass tomorrow 😊

How’d you do!?
@bullseyepete8367 Жыл бұрын
@@FIREbirdaustin ended up with 5 that day. My best day on the poosa 😉. I'm new to the area and bass fishing in general. Pretty sure 2 were poosa bass. But I'm not good at classifying them.
@FIREbirdaustin Жыл бұрын
@bullseyepete8367 5 isn’t bad for the Georgia side of the Tallapoosa River. The fish are always finicky in there. Telling the difference between species is challenging and comes easier with time. Plus it doesn’t help that they always hybridize on the Georgia side. It could have something to do with soil erosion. That’s what I’ve heard but don’t fully understand it. Have you gotten the bass slam this year?
@bullseyepete8367 Жыл бұрын
@@FIREbirdaustin I was on Alabama side. I'm no where near a slam. For sure have shoal, spot, possibly coosa, poosa, and Alabama
