Total Drama Revenge of the Island (Season 4) is definitely worth a watch. It’s generally regarded as a pretty great season. I think you’d enjoy it, Scoot. And it’s much shorter than TDI, TDA, and TDWT-it only has 13 episodes and no Aftermath. Total Drama All-Stars and Total Drama Pakithew Island, on the other hand, are pretty bad. They definitely have their moments, but their Antagonists are pretty shaky and the characters aren’t written to be very likable or relatable. I’d recommend skipping those. Don’t think they’re very fun to watch most of the time. Total Drama Presents: The Ridonculous Race (a spin-off of Total Drama) is pretty entertaining too. Its format is very different from Total Drama, but the characters are generally likable and a lot of the challenges are enjoyable. I’d say it’s up to you whether it warrants a watch. It’s kinda disconnected from the rest of the series (Chris and Chef aren’t involved at all). The new Total Drama seasons (I’ve watched leaks on KZbin) are pretty good. Definitely not as great as OG TDI, but worth a watch imo. If I have a complaint, it’s that several characters have insane plot armor and literally dodge eliminations against all logic.

The two reboot seasons are a lot of fun. Better than action in my opinion because they don't drag like a dead rat. But definitely not on the level of Total Drama Island or Total Drama World Tour. Personally, I think you should watch the next season after World Tour first. It's called Revenge of the Island and it's also a lot of fun in my opinion, It sits between the reboot and island and world tour in quality. But stop there with the original run for total drama because the next two seasons (All-Stars and Pahkitew) are dreadful they are not even worth the time even though they are both short. There is also a spin-off called The Ridiculous Race which is fantastic so I would recommend that one to.

I think the reboot S1 beats World Tour in some aspects. There's no pointless relationship conflict that derails characters, there is no overly dominating team, the plot armour for SOME characters isn't too overbearing, and the merge characters were honestly more diverse. Though I will say that the pre merge elimination order for both seasons suck. Reboot season 2 is just tragic.

@@jay0787 yeah fair, I weirdly kinda enjoyed the second season of the reboot even though I didn’t think it was well written at all. The drama was not very well handled. I just thought it was really funny and the challenges were really enjoyable, comedy was on point in that season. But yeah the first was definitely better written. I enjoyed both but I think I like revenge better than them.

When I was watching TDA with my friends one time, my partner walked in, pointed at Izzy and said “HA! That’s you!” (he just thought I looked like her) My friends agreed and ever since I have been constantly made aware of my “Izzy-isms”. It’s mainly my friends, my partner never really watched the show enough to make any connections and I’m thinking that’s prolly a good thing. 😅

@@Cartoonslol288 That’s fine that you love it, but that doesn’t make it the best from a writing standpoint. My favorite season is Total Drama Action. I just love the character interactions and the challenge ideas. I still acknowledge that it isn’t the best written. The Reboot has some serious writing issues. 1) Strategy never seems to factor in all that well. Characters make alliances and break them seconds later without any explanation. Like when Bowie voted out Chase despite that putting him at a disadvantage. Or Julia voting Damien despite that leaving her against two alliances. 2) The plot armor that Julia has is unreal. She legit is hated by everyone and yet somehow manages to get the other characters to vote however she wants without any hassle. We don’t even get to see any of the conversations behind these votes, nor do we get to see the strategy happening. It’s lame. Half of the eliminations kinda come out of nowhere, and they’re so rushed that there really isn’t time for any emotional reactions or anything. Compare that to TDI, TDA, TDWT, and TDROTI, where characters often had strong reactions to voting results and the votes had consequences in future episodes. 3) Entire plots go nowhere and have no payoff. Julia, MK, and Bowie cheated and lied to Wayne and Raj about it? Bowie legit gets forgiven right away and merge happens with no consequences for the team. MK and Julia had major beef in Season 1? They’ll become complete buddies in Season 2 without any explanation. Caleb is planning on forming an alliance in Season 2? He legit never discussed voting with Priya and never tried gaining the votes or support of anyone else. Do you see how this is bad from a writing standpoint? Inarguably, Total Drama Island (Season 1) had the best writing for eliminations and challenges because we could see the relationships forming between different characters even when they didn’t interact much. We could sense their dynamics and most eliminations had some sort of payoff to them.

In hindsight, Alejandro's plan to eliminate DJ wasn't that smart. Since his team and DJ were getting the fastest time, the Amazons would have had to lose a member, which is good since they're obviously the strongest team. Chris already said he isn't putting DJ on one of the other teams, so he would have probably helped Alejandro and his team have an advantage over the Amazons until he merge, and when the merge came DJ would have been a part of Alejandro's alliance.

Not really tbh. Team Victory has been sabotaged in like every challenge. Any challenge they weren’t sabotaged in (New York, The Amazon, Paris, Newfoundland), they pretty much outperformed the other two teams. The Killer Grips just low key sucked.

Was truly a fun period bsck in the Summer of 2010 with this season. I actually watched this episode just before starting my Freshman Year of High School and the song "My Izzy" along with Mystery Incorporated "Trap Of Love" both airing at the same time really moved my heart strings. Fun two episodes.... However, the next Episode.. the next episode is what affected the Series and Fanbase for the rest of it's existence. And boy the Name "Total Drama" is truly gonna be cemented throughout the upcoming episodes throughout the rest of the season. Let's buckle up👌.

I actually really enjoyed the reboot seasons. It has my favorite cast and feels more grounded in comparison to Revenge, All Stars, and Pakitew. You only really need knowledge about season 1 to watch the reboot since Owen's win is brought up. The seasons after World Tour are okay imo. Revenge felt super rushed considering it was the first 13 episode season. All stars is criminal for only including 5 original cast members but i lowkey liked it with the different interactions of the two casts. Pakitew island is also contriversial because the characters aren't exactly written the best. There is also a spin off ridonculous race, a 26 episode season that follows a large cast race together in duos.

You should definitely finish WT before doing anything with the reboot. I’ve seen the two reboot seasons, and they aren’t bad, but still are not as good as the first cast imo. If you’ve been enjoying TD so far, certainly could be worth a look after WT. Your call whether you watch the fourth/fifth/sixth seasons (I’d honestly advise against it and just do Ridonculous Race or just skip to the reboot)
