Amen. Why would you want him to suffer. Treat an illness it’s the right thing to do. People who don’t farm have no clue. We always treated our sick animals.

if you dont treat them you dont keep them long! I give all my animals what they need! Be Safe!!

Absolutely correct. I would never be so selfish to let them suffer in lieu a temporary antibiotic. Only a fool would throw away a valuable animal.

Absolutely YES on the antibiotics as medicine for a sick animal. It's the antibiotics for growth in the stock pens that's the problem - not at all what you guys do.
@gingerreid85694 жыл бұрын
Yes, on giving the shots...if I am correct, the drug is out of system in days...so by the time of butcher, I wouldn't think it would be an organic meat issue...we only raise for us...so not worried...We all try to be drug/chemical free, but sometimes...you have to do it...BTW, I am sure you know, but when pumpkins come out...the seeds are a natural dewormer for pigs, also rabbits and good for chickens too...we have about 15 pumpkin seeds planted and coming up...our goats, horses, chickens, rabbits will all get them...next year, we plan to do pigs again...

You guys are living the life that I wish I was.... we have been looking for our own homestead, but even after several years of searching, we still haven’t found what we are looking for... At nearly 60, I am afraid that our window is closing and we will soon be unable physically to maintain and improve on whatever we eventually find.. I tremendously enjoy your videos and am living vicariously through them.... Take care and God bless..

Quick lesson in rabbit colour genetics: Blue is caused by the dilute gene acting on a black colour base. Lilac is caused by the dilute gene acting on a chocolate colour base. That "tan" is a lilac fawn and that other baby is a sooty fawn aka tort.

Antibiotics used to treat something is a lot different than when they give them proactive and are kept in horrific conditions. I agree with what you have done completely. We are the caregiver of the animals. Yours a living the life that they are meant to live. This is a huge difference than the factory farms.

Hello there. It has been said that u can judge a family by the condition of their animals. It is obvious that u r very kind and caring. Happy animals, happy Family.
@daniellebradley27284 жыл бұрын
I’ve never heard that, but I have a chicken with a bald butt that will just not refeather since she molted. Clean water, bedding, vinegar in her feed and nothing! She lays regularly and is not dirty back there and her sisters all look great. I am so paranoid someone will see her and judge me harshly thinking I’m not treating her well! So I guess what you said is probably universally true since I always hope no one sees her and thinks badly of me.
