I'm fine with the Matrix, but my personal assumption would be that it's physically easier to move Humanity into space that it is to achieve true 'science fiction transferring of consciousness'. I'll never say anything is impossible, and I'm by no means a scientist, I just think we have a head start on the space plans and that we have no real matrix plans.
