The fact he was first met with private investigators tells me that people within Japan were hiring them to watch him, and basically act as witnesses to any particular crime he committed, with the goal of getting him deported. PI’s in Japan aren’t terribly well regulated. So pretty much anyone can hire one, and so long as they don’t do anything blatantly illegal, they can pretty much follow you endlessly and push the boundaries of harassment in some cases. Bottom line, they are very easily accessible for the average person to hire, and are pretty effective at getting necessary evidence for things like divorces, child custody, and in this particular case… I guess just watching streamers for when they do blatantly illegal shit. Bad news is that somehow many crimes committed by foreigners in Japan were hardly charged as crimes. Their arrests sometimes make news but most of them get released right away and media don't even cover nor the police don't even disclose the reason why they weren't prosecuted. Maybe they don't want to deal with foreigners because then they have to hire an interpreter for trial and even in the prison cells. Even a few months ago, some Kurds stabbed each other (between two big families I heard) and hundreds of Kurds flocked together at hospital at night, riot police were dispatched, and seven guys were arrested, yet none of them were prosecuted and they all were let out free. But this time it got so much attention by general public and the outcome is so important for the future consequences, so hopefully they will try to prosecute or probably make new arrests until his visa expires
@asdfghjjhgf Жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's funny how many people on social media still believe the BS that Japan's conviction rate is 99.9%. If you google a little, you'll quickly find that the prosecution rate in Japan is just 30%, and most cases don't even go to trial. If Japan's conviction rate were 99%, Japan's prisons would be overflowing with prisoners, yet Japan's prison incarceration rate is one of the lowest in the world, along with countries like Iceland and Monaco.

That story about someone saying to the bus driver of how nice he was, yada yada, reminded me of something that happened in the past here in PH which is very disgusting. Take this with a grain of salt because this happened YEARS ago as in I think 5 years or more and I'm recollecting this from memory (and realizing how much I remember about this tells me how much I got into fight about this.) So, the story was there was a mother who took I a few necessities on a store owned by a foreigner. the mother didn't took a lot kind of like 2 cans of sardines and a small pack of diaper or something if I remember, it's a necessity for sure. the mother got caught by the store owner and was reported to the police. A few people saw this, paid the owner and then posted the story on facebook. The backlash on the owner of the store was astounding. People were like, "For a few cans of food, the owner is so bad. He should've just given that to the poor woman." Most of the statements are along that or agreeing on that and I was really pissed off. I was like, "Why are you encouraging shoplifting? Sure, that wasn't a much but the mother still did a crime and she got caught so she had to pay for that crime. The owner got stolen goods and he's the bad guy." It's the part of the Philippine culture that I hate. Everyone is so soft and compassionate that they were willing to defend someone doing crime only because of different status. I do understand why the woman stole those and to be honest, in that position, I might too but that doesn't mean the owner did anything bad. the owner did not deserve any hate.

All he has to do was explain his situation as he lost his wallet to ride a train and bus for free. Japanese police will provide the money needed.

What is this stupid moral panic framing? Two random KZbinrs are dumb and suddenly we have a crisis on our hands?

I have always never understand why the people in the west love pets and there are so many things being put toward them despite humans out there struggling and could use some help...If this is the kind of humans they usually have to stomach, I guess animals are better lol

I’m not gonna lie, Japan isn’t getting ruined because of KZbinrs, but because of the ultra ethnic focused economy and society.

You know why this happened? Rules of every country is different. They are made according to cultures. Some rules are made to oppose the bad culture and don't let someone become a certain way. Even if the presence is unavoidable. For instance, suppose a tribe that does cannibalism. They probably have a rule that stops them from eating each other. But how here comes globalization. Now people become exposed to cannibalism. And they aren't with the tribe so they are unaware of the rules of tribe but only their own rules. They will operate cannibalism without a care in the world. I'll give another example: hookup culture. Let's say it begin from one side of the culture. The other side saw it. And being unaware of the rules, they started to do it. Now what would happen if the former culture relied on the latter culture for( well, for the lack of the better words) hope. (The laws, the correct way, the normal way). Ofcourse. It would be like watching your naive heroes become villain themselves. America has some good movies in regards to this problem. And usually the solution is dominance then partnership. But you don't want the bad side to win do you? What if the good side was weaker? From my standpoint, a common moral , ethical stand ground with persistence should be able to fix that. But I'm afraid that different standground will collide and create a worser effect. How about create a common standground by filtering the common from all moral stand grounds? (Ofcourse I'm not adding a religion to the equation.) Maybe shameful public execution... Idk.

Living in SEA country here. I really feel the hookup culture. Here in my place/tribe a couple used living together without legally getting married and only legally getting married after they have kid or already live together for years. But the thing is in our culture we will only allow our daughter living with a guy if we already know the guy's family and the guy should also already has a house. So eventho the couple aren't married by law they kinda already married by tradition. Problems arise when people from other culture think that we simply allowed everyone to have sex with people who aren't their spouse. People began to think that its okay to have sex with whoever they want without any strong commitment. Number of this "fatherless" family keep increasing every year.

You said a lot without actually saying anything. Annoying people lives in every culture.
@mocerlaalacbaino Жыл бұрын
@@Birb728 ahahaha I can see that actually. All I have wrote is just problems with no conclusive solution. I'm not very sure about the solution I've come up with. Like rather than fully following rules of another tribe, picking out what's common in both tribe rules and enhancing those while keeping each other's different rules. An acquaintance rather than a friend sort of way. But that's probably what's going between countries. And they don't seem stable at all. Plus, all it will take is just one person with a bad day to destroy that all or just one annoying person. But isn't usually the annoying person still aware of common rules, like don't go around killing people somehow they only follow certain rules and not the other rules. What's going on in their head? It might be possible they encountered a situation where those rules were challenged and they lost. Even a simple thing like " i shouldn't steal from other people " is encountered by watching everybody steal from other people and then next day them saying the same words " people shouldn't steal from other people" might end up doing something very weird. Specially if the watcher doesn't have the rules fully established. See? Idk the answer. I'm too stupid for that lol.
