Vilda didnt do anything wrong. The Spanish FA just wanted to play politics. Many of the players in the team supported him anyway. His only fault was being a guy i guess.

To be clear footballers are not going to do anything that jeopardises their vast incomes. They will simply go along with what's going along. That seems to me what's happening to that poor woman, being used as a political tool. From being relatively unconcerned, she's now getting involved in a court case which will get global publicity.

A number of players had issues with Vilda before the WWC. Vilda was Rubiales’ guy and stuck with him despite the issues. Then when Rubiales’ held his press conference where everyone thought he’d step down and Vilda was caught on camera clapping after Rubiales basically called her a liar and gave everyone the finger. IMO, It was the blowback from that press conference that forced Vilda to split with Rubiales. Too little too late.

@@l_karuhanga He means initially able to get over a relatively minor sexual assault. I am not sure that makes her present actions wrong, now she feels the support and has had time to process what happened. It sure as hack does nothing to vindicate Rubiales.

Doesn't matter if she was offended or not. That's irrelevant in terms of law. If you're professionally linked with someone also known to be abusive and sexist, if you're both, that is, abusing your positions of authority, then yes, you should both lose your jobs.
