However asides from the other games I think Sonic X could be used in the following movies since season 3 was about a plant race deciding to alter the multiverse so that animals wouldn't exist in any dimension. I fully believe they're going to go all out with this film. Not just with it's characters, but universe building as well since they're introducing the second most popular character in the franchise. So here's my fun take on how Sonic 3 will go: There will be a space station in it as I can see it being built during the space race. They can cut the lizard part out for maybe a giant robot because why not. I don't think they'll actually have Maria being shot by the military, but I can see a workaround for it with either a cut-out scene or an angle shot (no pun intended). Since the franchise has, in a way, reinvented Sonic's backstory, I would imagine if they thrown in a hedgehog race that the government or Dr. Robotnik came across, using their DNA to create Shadow. I don't mind if they do add Amy and Rouge. How they'll come into the plot is beyond me, but I'll be OK with it if they don't include them.

It's strange to think about removing the Biolizard, because it's what keeps Ark on a collision course with Earth, which makes Super Sonic and Super Shadow's Team-Up In addition, there is the issue of Biolizard being literally a prototype of Shadow, and he would be confronting a previous version of himself, who is now going to cause the destruction of the earth (same objective as Shadow until near the end)

Fun fact: shadow’s design is based on Sonic’s super form As Gerald robotnik was trying to figure out how to create “the ultimate life form” or a being that can harness chaos energy, he looked to the extinct echidna tribe’s temples. When he went to angel island, he discovered the wall prophecy from sonic 3, which is just foreshadowing the final boss of the game, and decided to base shadow off of the hedgehog

SEGA and Sonic Team, with help from Paramount, knew what they were doing, releasing a Shadow Generations remake alongside this sequel. Everything seems to line up with this being roughly an adaptation of Sonic Adventure 2. The title, the characters, and lore setup in the previous movie with the introduction of G.U.N. all seems to line up with it. I have no idea as of yet how much creative liberty there'll be taken compared to the original game, definitely some considering how different the lore is in these movies generally compared to the games, but it seems like the crew is all aware and that if there's a game to adapt into a movie, and especially one featuring Shadow, it IS Sonic Adventure 2.

I've spoken about this a lot with friends, but I may as well drop it online too for the sake of it. But I don't think we're getting a trailer for this movie for a while. For starters, they only started filming in November, once the strikes were over. So they probably only just wrapped filming. And secondly, the Knuckles series is most definitely happening first. The scenario in my head goes like this: The Sonic 3 logo and cast news was to stir up headlines about the film franchise to drum up interest among the general public. That way when they drop the Knuckles teaser as Superbowl, everyone's eyes are drawn to that, because we just got all that Jim Carrey news. That kicks off the roughly 3-4 month road to Knuckles, where we don't get any promo for Sonic 3. Knuckles releases mid-year. By this point Paramount have managed to snowball the entire year with Knuckles promo, and the release of the series is ideally when series interest is at it's peak. 2-3 weeks after the series is released, just as chatter is beginning to die down, that's when Sonic 3 gets it's first teaser. From there it becomes the same old marketing schtick. The 2nd trailer comes a few months after the teaser, and we get a final trailer around early December, yadda yadda yadda. If it turns out the Knuckles series is actually good, then I'd even go so far as to say Paramount has intentionally held it back so they can use it to kickstart Sonic 3 promo this year. Sonic 3 will literally promote itself if Knuckles turns out to be good. They won't even have to try.

I think everyone should be clarified that the laugh at the end of that small Sonic 3 teaser is not even shadow. It’s robotnik’s laugh which they took from the Sonic 2 movie. I think Amy is gonna appear in the film in some way, Maria is likely in the film given some of the casting announcements, but I feel it's too soon what the story is given how far along the film is and how much is involved in Shadow's backstory in the games. As of now, this is honestly my most anticipated film of the year, only really rivaled by GXK: The New Empire

I’m guessing that the movie will be a combo of sonic adventure and sonic cd, while still being unique. I feel it’ll be like sonic two, which was the same but with sonic 2 and 3&K.

Given how much Sega has been pushing to include Rouge in their storylines as of late. I'd love to see her appear in the third movie as a surprise character (similar to how Knuckles was handled in the second movie). Maybe G.U.N. are trying to capture the hedgehogs and happen upon Rouge whilst she's staking a heist, successfully stealing a ruby from an ancient building, or in the style of mission impossible, a diamond from a rich person's mansion. Only to be approached and asked if she'd be interested in a career change, to which she says "Depends... what are you wanting me to do?" and Towers points to a computer monitor which has Sonic and Shadow on it, the latter catching her attention as she clears her throat, trying to hide the fact she's blushing. Then, she asks "Okay... what's in it for me?" and Towers smirks, producing an emerald, which could turn out to be a Sol Emerald, setting up a potential rivalry between Rouge and Blaze in a future movie.

Also, as much as it could likely be the final movie in the Paramount Universe. I'm crossing my fingers that it won't be. Why? As much as I don't want these films to be milked too much, I do think ending them prematurely would be a bad move, since there's a lot of other characters who could fit into this universe well, like Blaze, Espio and the Babylon Rogues. Plus, wouldn't it be cool if we were able to see the Sol Dimension with how far technology has expanded. I can imagine it'd have an Indian/Middle-Eastern feel to it with a mystical edge to it. You could even have Sonic make a reference to Secret Rings, saying "Woah. Did I wander into a storybook? I feel like I'm inside a Disney Movie."

While I love Amy, but I think they can skip her if we end up getting a Sonic CD inspired movie, seeing Metal Sonic would be very cool. And the 5th based on Sonic Adventure they can perfectly stop there with the Sonic movies, although I won’t complain if they continue as far as they keep been as good as the second movie
