Stay on top of yearly checks and any test needed. I was diagnosed with breast cancer on 5/15/23 had a double mastectomy and it was caught very early and no chemo or radiation needed. Just Tamoxifen for 5 years. Lucas is changing so much so fast too. Love your sweet family and your parenting style. 💖

I have had moles disappear as I’ve gotten older, but I have also had some new ones appear. I’m glad you are doing good, Austin. Love the Spomer family ♥️

Thank you for sharing that you’re getting a check up of all of your moles, Austin. Literally in the last few days I’ve noticed a change in one of my many moles and will be emailing photos of it to my GP in the morning as there have been issues with skin cancer affecting my mum, sisters, uncles and grandfather. And though not biologically related, my stepdad sadly died after a fight with malignant melanoma 10 years ago… I already have hEDS which means my skin is fragile, so I need to know one way or another what’s going on with this mole 😬. I had been avoiding it but your video has made me see how important this is to get seen to, so thank you for making me realise burying my head in the sand is not going to make this go away. I hope your biopsy result comes back all clear too 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hi, Spomers!!!! I am glad Austin has a clean bill of health with the skin spots. Lucas is so cute and Micah and Paige play wonderfully together. Jess, I love your new table, chairs and bench... what have you done with the other table and Windsor chairs? I liked those, too...my favorite style of furniture is colonial.

I have had 2 skin melanomas. I was very lucky, they caught them early and managec to cut the whole things out. I dont need further treatment but will need 3 monthly check ups. Hope all is good with Austens biopsy 💕

Glad to hear everyone is doing well. Our house holds an annual Halloween party for our circle of friends. We started it because we had kids and yes, it was easier and more comfortable to have it at our home. 2020 hit and we did not have the party. 2021 and we were not going to have the party, but our friends begged us. They missed it so much. It has gotten smaller over the years as everyones kids grow but last year after every one left , my husband i played drunk jenga for an hour and it was the best lol.

Hmmmm... I am covered in moles too!! BUT... as I get older, I have not lost any, if anything the ones that stuck out have gotten larger, well stuck out farther. I hope some of them start to disappear!!

I had six moles recently. Biopsied and four came back severe close to skin cancer so they removed four. So now I go in every 6 months. Micha is so cute, with her little damsel fly.

I’m happy that you’re getting the moles looked at and taken care of. I’ve had a lot of skin cancer in my family. It’s not fun to deal with. Also, sidenote are we going to just skip over the fact that Lucas is now fully saying that and other words that are clear as day, I love it. I think it’s adorable especially when he can’t say but he does his little dance and you know he means Furby that’s so cute.

I recommend mixing Lucas's medicine with juice (my kids prefer OJ). Even the pickiest kid of mine will drink all of her medicine if it's mixed with juice 🙂

I go to the dermatologist every 4 months because genetic melanoma skin cancer runs really deep in my family, my mom, her dad (my grandpa), my uncle and my sister all passed away from it and I have an uncle fighting cancer right now so yeah take care of yourselfs ❤

I’ve had Melanoma last year - good thing I went to the dermatologist to check out that ‘weird’ looking mole as it was cancer. Got it removed and everything is good now - just frequent visit to keep an eye on all those moles.

My mom gets SKs frozen on her skin all the time and has had a few precancerous growths removed. I'm trying to go to the dermatologist at least once a year. I have a birthmark on my cheek and one on my back that I have checked often.

Yowch. I'm recovering from a broken femur in my right leg and bruising all over the rest of my body. It was a work injury on 6/25/24. It might be 3 months before I can fully bear weight on my leg. Wishing you the all clear on your biopsy!! 🤗🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

You know what’s messed up? I went o my family doctor a few years ago and ask her for a dermatologist referral, she asked why and I said I want to get my full body checked to be safe, she said I don’t need to, if I’m worried about something she can check it… but like girl you’re not a doctor specifically for skin… anyway it made me so mad. I still haven’t gone 🤬

That looks like it is actually a damsel fly. Dragonflies are more stout and hold there wings out while damsel flies are thinner and hold their wings over their back.

I'm almost 52 and have moles still, I had one on the side of my neck I got removed, I have a couple on my face but no health insurance so they are still there, glad all is good.

Yes Praise the Lord it wasn’t Cancer!! The surgeon who did the biopsy was not optimistic about other at all. I had sores all over my tongue, gums and down my throat. They now believe it’s another autoimmune attack and it is just my body attacking itself. I finally saw the hematologist who Ive been waiting to see for months. He seems confident about whats going on and hopefully they will get a treatment plan soon. They did some new tests but he was the first doctor in several years who didn’t rush me, listened to everything I said and looked through all my notes and wrote down a bunch from what I collected for several years. It was my first doctors appointment in years where I finally felt listened to and at ease that he would have it figured out quickly so my misery would be coming to an end. Needless to say, I m very excited and hopeful for what is coming. Austin Im praying that all your stuff comes back great!!
