​@@Jadizi Tbh, something in between would be nice. Like, add more things (hybrid items and rework the current ones), but keep the overall "feel" and mechanics of the current shop. A Simpler system, while for sure limited, is nicer to get in and experiment, and should be way more streamlined if done correctly

I think the teleport after the ult for follow up is actually pretty good since it provides a way to chase people who manage to avoid follow up cc or have their beads up and jump away like a janus portal or a long blink that is stuck to the ground the enemy would need to avoid going next to it if they were running away. It also provides a way to disengage and have your team engage after, but most importantly it seems fun.

Now THAT was an ultimate. The 1 is definitely unfinished but it does look a little interesting so far especially since it looks like she has multiple charges and once they hit it looks like they stop for another function briefly? Looking forward to seeing that new 3 as well since that too was super underwhelming. She’s definitely starting to feel more like HECATE. Sadly we can’t get the actual triplicate form with the maiden, mother, and crone so we gotta settle for her having these clones. If only they had done that in the first place since that’s what literally everyone wanted along with WITCHCRAFT GET THAT HADES CROSSOVER IN HERE ALSO

This is a very good look for the Dev team. This is what we need to see with EVERY character in SMITE 2. Break the mold on all the old, boring and outdate characters. We need something NEW, and the "reworks" they've done so far are not it. I hope they can take a look at the community feedback given by Fineokay, for ALL gods and the reworks/redisigns that would make each character feel SO MUCH COOLER, and make this game actually feel like a 20 year upgrade in engine! Increase interactability, make abilities chaange the map itself, or give a new dynamic to the characters that is now possible in SMITE 2

The new ult feels like it could give hecate huuge peel, like if someone dives you, you can just tp to them to the tower or smething. That is if the ult affects the area around her and is not distance based. But still veery cool ultimate and feels better than her last one.

it looks like it teleports you to the circle you are not in, which is simple enough if youre close you go far if youre in the far circle you go to the close one

The ult is more simple than distance. If the enemy is in the circle at her feet it goes to the one farther away.

If you watch when they cast ult. There's two circles. I assume if they are in circle around hecate they go away, if they are in there circle she places(not the one around her) they will go to her. Just a guess

I feel personally called out for that arachne line lol. Though honestly i play her more for her model design and character then kit itself. I do hope they rework her to be more spider like kit wise, and dont change her model at all. Other then make her a redhead again

My only worry is the amount of grief potential with this ult, and also it seems more appropriate for a tank / support than a mage. Maybe with new Smite 2 builds, you can build into Hecate support. But I will say that despite using UE5, I think the dev team is still working in the confiment of Smite 1. They really need to take time to learn UE5 to go above and beyond with the engine, so they can make new gods feel super good and fun to play.

Simple gods can be fun if visual design fits and at least parts of kit. I like arachne for 2 3 and ult. Feels very spider like but can't say I wouldn't mind upgraded more skill intensive kit.

I'm a game designer and for my experience the way to incorporate feedback is to figure out what the root problem that the design suggestion is trying to fix and then work from there. Generally the person who has worked on that character or feature will know best what to do from there.

I dunno if this is a hot take but I feel like there are too many mages in smite maybe with the different system in smite 2 not so much but man they love mages a bit much

it would be fine if they let mages into other roles, so far theres like 3 mage jungles but theyve been gutted so much they arent good anymore, and they dont like mage support that much either

The reason for so many mages is mainly since without them a team’s magical damage is being carried by the guardian. There’s only 2 classes that deal magical damage meanwhile there are 3 that deal physical damage, and really all 3 of those classes have consistent high burst damage or basic attacks that can be confused for a AK-47 (seriously though like I know they’re gods but bowstrings aren’t exactly easy to pull back 😅) but yeah, mages are so numerous since they’re the main source of magical damage for a team. In smite 2 though the “mage” or more accurately the Mid role will likely consist of more varied damage types since most other roles will also have a mix of damage types, cern being the best current example

It's just a side effect of the old damage system Physicals have a category for tank/bruisers, one for melee damage dealers/mobility characters and one for ranged damage dealers Magicals have one class for tanks and one class for.... literally everything else so they end up with more because where else do you put them?

I wish smite would finally bring gods that are known outside of the game, known from the mythology. Example, who heared from the god Hecate beside now from smite? Noone. Who heared of Thor, Zeus, Poseidon, etc.? Everyone. So how about f'ing Hermes? Uranus, Chaos, Gaia, Demeter, Pontus, Hypnos

Mercury is the roman equivalent of Hermes. Same deal with gaia (Terra). Uranos could be something but there are already a couple gods that have the sky as their domain already in the game. But your other suggestions sound pretty viable.
