Now I'm confident you know I think you're both great guys. But in this video I have confirmed that Sean is truly a good man. His obvious delight and care in tending to the chickens. Only a good man who cares about the feelings of other beings would be so careful. It was a delight to watch. The question I have is are you doing anything with the trains? I'm working online albeit slowly. But I have my space and next week I get started on my bench work. It's only taking me all summer and fall to get my space ready. Of course like you I'm in a very cold climate. But my train room is toasty and warm. In any case my very best thoughts and wishes for the season. For both of you and the doggies and the chickens and the owls and the bees and any other critter you've decided to take to your bosom. I'm sure I'm forgetting someone but you fellas have developed such a menagerie

Hand warmers for keeping the food warm? Yo9u can get USB ones or, I think, ones you can reheat. I have a solar powered trail cam like those which takes 4 AAs and has its own built in battery that the solar cell charges. The solar actually seems to work even in winter though it is early days for me.

Another top vid lads, the lichen on the trees near you is so thick, the air must be good quality. Top tip, we put gutters on our hen house last year to a water butt. Free rainwater for crops and left the hen run so much dryer most importantly.

Despite living in Aberdeenshire and Highlands all my life the one animal I have never seen with my own eyes is the Pine Martin. I was going to suggest a Brewers Mat to keep Sherlok's food from freezing, but realised you don't have mains available, maybe in the future, it's a low heat output to help fermentation, so it should stop things from freezing.

Had a thought on how to keep the food warm. a pair of motorbikers heated gloves under a slatted wooden tray. Just 12 v battery and the glove plugged in put the food on top of the tray and glove when its switched on should keep it warm enough for an hour or more. Recharge the battery after each use.

Wildlife, I can't wait to see what you catch, basically what's in your back yard. We get the occasional Sparrowhawk after our avery birds or the sparrows on the feeders, sometimes a heron sits on the fence eyeing up our pond, it's such a big bird sitting there, beautiful to see up close, but it's shoo'd away as I want to keep the fish in my pond. Hey guys... straw as bedding works wonders. It keeps their feet warm and then when it is soiled, becomes great material for the compost pile. Secondly, you can get a really inexpensive small solar panel that would probably have enough juice to power a small heater for the water. Great video as always, thanks from Nanton Alberta Canada!

It would be great to get some wild life footage of a live haggis, very rare to see them in the wild. They are rare because it is very hard to find tatties and Neeps, their food in the wild. May be leave a drop of whiskey out, they like that too. They also taste better than battery haggis. Happy hunting.
