I think part of the reason the weapon leveling feels slow is because it takes the same amount of XP at every level, while in CoD the earlier levels are faster and give you attachments to work with sooner. Instead of all 100 levels taking 3500 XP each like they do now, the first 20 levels should take 2500, the next 20 should take 3000, then 3500, then 4000, then 4500. That way it still ends up taking the same TOTAL amount of XP to max out a gun to level 100, but the first 40 levels and all of the attachments come a bit faster.

I swear I come back to Jev every time a new shooter comes out. I'm really enjoying XDefiant, it's a breath of fresh air after taking a couple months off of gaming heavy. Used to Halo destiny and Cod, XDefiant is a breath of fresh air compared to those, not just in SBMM but it's nice to have an arcade shooter that feels kinda black ops-y and really has to no reason to play other than to play. Since the game is free, and there's not a lot of weapons, I know they need to make you grind heavily for stuff, but I think it could be done a little better. Only having Bronze Silver and Gold makes, and them being locked to high levels means that you are incentivized more heavily to buy the battlepass or a skin from the shop so you can actually have a camo. I think it'd be better if they instead kept the "Mastery Camos" as is, but maybe include challenges for other camos. Kinda like the way COD does camos, but not as bad of challenges. I'm thinking that they should have a camo for every 10 levels, which require a challenge as simple as "Get 10 Headshots", "Go on a 5 Killstreak", "Get 20 Kills in a Single Match", "Get 10 Ability Related Kills", etc. Those would be challenges that don't force you to change the way you play, and aren't mandatory to unlock the "Mastery Camos", but if you want something like Red Tiger, you have to do one of those challenges once your weapon hits Level 10, then Level 20 for the next, then Level 30 for the next, etc. I also agree with people that thing the order you unlock certain attachments might need to be tweaked depending on the weapon class. Above all else(yes what I just mentioned included)I just want hit registration to be fixed. I can still perform just fine with how it is now, but it'd be way more satisfying, and less frustrating if our bullets could simply function as intended 100% of the time.

At least XDefiant only makes you earn XP with that weapon rather than make you do so many different challenges for every gun to unlock mastery camos! I have a 1.1 KD and a .9 win loss. There are two problems with this game right now. The main one is that the promotion for this game was entirely the fact that it had no SBMM in casual. This has clearly led to bums staying away, and sweats flocking to it. Stack on top of that the newcomer playlist having SBMM and being the quickest and easiest way to search for a game and you’ve got the perfect combination for a game full of only sweats. This is just throwing numbers around but I feel like average skill of players in the casual playlist with no SBMM would be in the top 15% of fps players. Once most people start to hit lvl 25 it actually should get easier in casual, but I could be wrong.
