Last week I flew to Paris to experience my first big motor show. Arnold Clark sent me there to film some of the new cars being unveiled which was pretty interesting and slightly terrifying. We were there for 48 hours so I tried to make the most of Paris.

As an semi-introvert I can tell you, this feeling of beeing an imposter will never go away, but it will be more silent for every time you do what you are good at and what you really like. Can't wait to see more videos.

How you portray, record and publish your travel vlog are exactly how I wished I could see most of the travel documentaries. * No unnecessary parts, * Sharing your thoughts & feelings over trip, * Listing prices for travel & stay (extremely useful) * Peaceful music in background when idle walking or not talking, but clear background when talking. So even if you still feel hesitant or self-concious, I just wanted you to know, I love exactly how you're doing them right now, and I hope you get used-to them in future, because I certainly wish for more of them in future ^^ Wish you all the good luck and looking forward to your next travel ♥

And this short vlog on your Paris Motor Show trip has been great too! Great video as always Lucy. I'm guessing you went midweek? I went on Friday 18th (from Edinburgh) and it looks quiet when you were there compared to when I was there. I'm amazed how much filming you actually managed without people getting in the way. Seeing the Espace F1 up close made the trip worthwhile for me and I'd have been happy to have just went for that opportunity. Personally I think Renault really made the show between the F1 the Alpine A290 and of course the wonderful Twingo concept (sadly I don't think the UK will get that one either). Keep making these vlogs they're amazing.

Years ago I gave up going to Auto Shows on public days, too too crowded, even without filming. Geneva is one the best shows to go to. In Paris it is usually worth checking the Porsche stand, the company usually has something new to look at, they like their dinners in Paris.

From a fellow person with anxiety here is a suggestion. I travelled a lot for work in my 35 years and felt anxiety always. I learned the following, I don't really matter to anyone else around me. You are a little different as you are somewhat famous, but in reality that shouldn't change the fact that no one really cares what you are doing. Just enjoy the ride. You never know what will happen when you are really who you are in public. Enjoy your video. thanks!

It’s been a whirlwind but quite enjoyable. I have been to Paris many times in January or February to the Porte de Versailles and yes the vibe is different. When the sun is out and your in the Jardin de Luxembourg it’s magical. Paris is my favourite city, sorry London you are second. At one time I lived in London and my Brother lived in Paris and we took turns visiting each other. That was the best. We hail from North Hollywood so living abroad was a great experience. I'm jazzed you got the gig. Saw you doing drivetribe stuff a few years back and been following your journey since. It's cool to see they sent h you to the Paris Motor Show. It was a huge deal some years back, not quite such a deal now that most of the cars more resemble vacuum cleaners than motor vehicles (and I thought I wouldn't say anything that would upset anyone). But it's a massive event. If you get sent to more of these events you know it will become routine. Show up in good time so you're never rushing or in a flap - don't be late. Meet your deadlines. Submit good stuff. You'll get more gigs. Good luck lady.

Really enjoyed watching this Lucy & well done for filming when the public are around; I know exactly how you feel (I've wandered around lip-syncing to songs & I'm so self conscious at times - well, all of the time!). It's great to be a creative individual at times though 🙂 Lovely scenery too (well, apart from the view outside your hotel window!). You could have sent it as a postcard to James May lol. I downloaded some Cafe Parisienne music, it's so relaxing just having it in the background (I don't watch tv) & imagining a scenic Paris & the smell of croissants wafting from a cosy cafe (I blame the animation film 'Ratatouille' lol). Aw, I don't know why you felt like an imposter at the motor show; believe in yourself Lucy! You're very talented at what you do, that's why you are in such demand. In fact... I think you'll be joining two other ladies soon & their forthcoming (summer) road trip escapades (let me know if I'm right!). Merry Christmas!

I can’t say if you are an imposter or not. I can say I have enjoyed your videos for a while. Hopefully this comes out right but your videos are inviting, not pretentious. You are obviously intelligent and have a way that just makes it comfortable to watch. You appear very genuine and human. Excellent video Really glad you did a BTS of your experience. Two thoughts. 1) Re: Imposter Syndrome. You've "apprenticed" with some of the best presenters in the world! You know a ton about the business and what working with the best looks like. So while you may be new to the actual presenting part, you've got all the right background. Arnold Clark certainly thinks so! Very glad you're getting this opportunity to spread your wings. 2) When you pulled that croissant out, my first thought was, "Ah, they saw the tourist coming!" But then you validated they were wonderful. Go figure! 🤣 The profiteroles looked _amazing_ though. Cheers!
