I finished Dual Process Theory's video on FNaF and WOW.
This is the most well-made, lore-backed, and complete FNaF theory video I've ever watched. Sorry Ryetoast, MatPat, Fuhnaff, and all y'all others, these two gals just took the mangled (pun intended) mess that is Five Nights at Freddy's lore and just, made it make sense. Completely blew my mind.

Yea, I've been watching it on and off, but some things I noticed are them not mentioning the person in grey in the Midnight Motorist Minigame and if Cassidy is the Crying Child, then what's the 5th MCI child's name? FNAF 1 explicitly said that there were 5 children lured into a backroom. Also, how would Ennard/Baby/Elizabeth know that Mike wouldn't die after getting scooped? If they believe that FNAF3 good end happens some time after UCN, then why does the Puppet's mask drop slower compared to the others? That was originally believed to show how the Puppet didn't move on themself. I think the main ideas make sense, but some of the kinks need working out a bit more.

@@flopps1051They actually brought up who the fifth child was: Cassidy himself. A major part of their theory was that Henry was arrested in William’s stead, since William lied about his own son being kidnapped and missing and by order of elimination the police arrested Henry. There was never a fifth child lured to the backroom, but there was one reported to be. If you require a timestamp for the whole explanation by them, I’d be happy to supply it. Just ask :) And wdym about the FNAF 3 ending being after UCN? I dont recall them mentioning that?

@justiceforjack the lore is consistent. In fact it is based on that that the theory you worship so much is wrong. Scott said there has been only one seamless retcon that few noticed. Thus Cassidy is the 5th kid of the MCI and not the BV.
