These are set up to run on multi fuels, thus the emisson controls may not work. This truck is making the internet rounds: it is at least 17 years old as it is the 6.0l.

@@EdgarGarcia-h6tthey use multi fuels. I have a 1972 AM general (Deuce and a half), it runs on absolute everything. The first month was trying to get it to not run on something. I tried soda, juice, junkyard gas, jet fuel, those emergency 1:50 gas cans at Walmart and even piss. It does run on anything.

That said, I'm still unsure as to why it is that US emissions regulations are tighter than those anywhere else in the world. The claim is "saving the environment" but if the rest of the world is still polluting the air at the same levels they always have been, then what good does it do for one country to pollute less? THAT is the question, right there.

I had a 2002 F-350 with a 7.3l: 250hp. the 2017 6.7l makes 450hp. hmm seems like the power increased. BTW CAT has not made an OTR engine since 2010.

These are not factory deleted. There is a company Down South that does all the mods for these vehicles. I worked on these vehicles for the Air Force.

They do a good job making it look factory. I mean they are using the same exhaust as the 6.2 gas to keep it looking clean and subtle with all ford parts

Factory (at least Ford) installs these parts from the factory for the federal government. They do not just buy 1 or 2 here and there, They order hundreds at a time and will run batches "built as spec'd". The factory would be insane to NOT build them without! Know how much money it saves them ON TOP of the "government markup price"!?

Oskosh (used to anyway) use Duramax's and they get their crate engines minus ALL emission components as well. Something about diesel emission components and jet fuel don't mix well?... Not to mention obviously there is an abundance of DEF in the middle of the desert, I don't see an issue with having to have a extra tanker just for DEF in a convoy .......................

Removing the parts is easy. Getting around the electronics that monitor them and control the remaining parts expecting the deleted parts to be there and functioning is the hard part. But not insurmountable.

There's a oilfield company that operates not far from where I live, they deleted all the emissions from their fleet which worked out well till the EPA got wind and fined them 25k per truck and fined the employees who did the work.

We had bearcats with fully deleted 6.4L powerstrokes. They had sinister diesel delete kits. Before they were deleted they were plagued with clogged DPFs, egr failures, blown head gaskets and turbos. All they do is idle for days at a time and rarely get past 30 mph stuck on base the whole time.

You just have to buy an emissions delete kit for your truck. As long as your state doesn't require emissions inspections, you are golden, and your engine will last hundreds of thousands more miles than it would have if the emissions systems were in place.

All military vehicles have 0 emissions equipment on them. Doesn't matter the brand. Why? Because it's a know failure point. The mitary also doesn't use ULS diesel. They use "JPH" which gets put into all of their vehicles. I worked a civilian heavy duty diesel contract 4 years ago. I asked for 5 gallons of diesel for Hemmit I was working on. Their response was "we don't use diesel, we just JPH (or is it JP8?)

The Environmental Protection Agency's requirement for catalytic converters was helpful (today they are much less restrictive), but they have stepped out of line way to many times. Fining companies for producing V8 engines in automobiles and compromising diesel reliability with a DEF system that necessitates frequent repairs and sensor replacements is counterproductive.

I got one and I drive it everyday. Bought the OEM delete kit from Ford and installed a small tuner. Works great and without rerouting or cutting coolant hoses. No modification required to install.

This is definitely not true. I work on Federal government diesel vehicles all the time. Even brand new Freightliner Peterbilt, Kenworth Ford Dodge and Chevy Duramax and guess what. None of them come deleted. They all have emissions because that's the reason they're here. All the time is they're in limp mode due to plugged DPF filters

the fact that the military doesn't run it just goes to show you the reliability of these systems. I've had 3 trucks go down with this. Fords, a Ram and a Freightliner. Ram has a light on now with this issue.

And it burns cleaner btw These motors I did look up on the ford's internal blueprints (worked for a dealer) They ran cleaner and had better mpg. But they where shown the military uses the motor recklessly and they tended to survive in extreme heat with no issues compared to a restricted one.

It kinda makes sense the military gets deleted vehicles. They need them reliable. Also imagine going to war and the SOB starts a regen.

My 2015 f-350 cab and chassis came with factory delete plates no def and a 4in straight pipe it’s an old dot truck

They’ve been getting shipped to our local dealer for years. They fulfill a lot of the government contracts around here. Couple dozen every few weeks. Rules for thee but not for me bs.

You can go to the dealership and order the factory delete parts. That's if you have a good parts guy. Or know how to look up the parts
