I tried soda, juice, junkyard gas, jet fuel, those emergency 1:50 gas cans at Walmart and even piss. It does run on anything.

That said, I'm still unsure as to why it is that US emissions regulations are tighter than those anywhere else in the world. Factory (at least Ford) installs these parts from the factory for the federal government. They do not just buy 1 or 2 here and there, They order hundreds at a time and will run batches "built as spec'd". The factory would be insane to NOT build them without! Oskosh (used to anyway) use Duramax's and they get their crate engines minus ALL emission components as well. Something about diesel emission components and jet fuel don't mix well?... Not to mention obviously there is an abundance of DEF in the middle of the desert, I don't see an issue with having to have a extra tanker just for DEF in a convoy .......................

We had bearcats with fully deleted 6.4L powerstrokes. They had sinister diesel delete kits. Before they were deleted they were plagued with clogged DPFs, egr failures, blown head gaskets and turbos. All they do is idle for days at a time and rarely get past 30 mph stuck on base the whole time.

You just have to buy an emissions delete kit for your truck. As long as your state doesn't require emissions inspections, you are golden, and your engine will last hundreds of thousands more miles than it would have if the emissions systems were in place.

All military vehicles have 0 emissions equipment on them. Doesn't matter the brand. Why? Because it's a know failure point. The mitary also doesn't use ULS diesel. They use "JPH" which gets put into all of their vehicles. I worked a civilian heavy duty diesel contract 4 years ago. I asked for 5 gallons of diesel for Hemmit I was working on. Their response was "we don't use diesel, we just JPH (or is it JP8?)

The Environmental Protection Agency's requirement for catalytic converters was helpful (today they are much less restrictive), but they have stepped out of line way to many times. Fining companies for producing V8 engines in automobiles and compromising diesel reliability with a DEF system that necessitates frequent repairs and sensor replacements is counterproductive.

This is definitely not true. I work on Federal government diesel vehicles all the time. Even brand new Freightliner Peterbilt, Kenworth Ford Dodge and Chevy Duramax and guess what. None of them come deleted. They all have emissions because that's the reason they're here. All the time is they're in limp mode due to plugged DPF filters
