THEY Tortured ARRMA RC Cars!

Talk about action! Arrma held their Arrmageddon fan appreciation event and it was pretty crazy. It was their inaugural event and it was held at the Freedom Factory, home of the well-known KZbinr Cleetus McFarland. The Arrma staff had a short time to put this together and they pulled it off. The turnout was good for such a short lead time and in the end a wild time was had by all. In this video Greg goes over the highlights so you know what to expect when you attend next year's Arrmageddon!

Thanks for covering the event better than anyone I’ve seen. TBH it was underwhelming. I’m sure the high speed oval was a fun, nerve wracking challenge. I have a Velodrome near me, it’s crazy taking turns at top speed. The long jump? Seriously? They had a flat incline? Any jumper knows that’s pathetic. The bash pit? A few ramps in limited space? No dirt jumps or landings? Sad, we’ve seen all the invitees go bigger in their videos. The high jump was ok, requiring to land IN DIRT PLEASE without catchers. Seriously? Catchers? Also, clearly the ramp needed to be wider. The Freestyle? Now that’s the lamest RC sh*t I’ve ever seen. The highlight, Kamikaze RC!! Living up to his name and reputation. I LOVE his videos. He found how he could bash the way ARRMA’s should be bashed within the lame environment he was given. Sorry, I’m a Grinch. Armageddon fell WAY short.

Took me two days to put the video together, happy to hear it covered everything well. I think the thing to remember here was this was a first event. We all had fun and it was a learning experience for everyone in the process. Building jumps and landers that fits the needs from a tiny 2S Grom to a massive 8S Kraton isn’t exactly the easiest thing to do. The facility had some requirements they had to work around. But again a lot was learned and I think they’ll have a new game plan next year to improve the overall experience. Edit: And yes Kamikaze is insane, wild to watch him dream up and setup the jumps. Then start nailing tricks after just a few practice attempts. Cool guy to talk to too.

Love the coverage video of the event. Looked like a blast...was this whole event just for Utubers? I was in the hospital and out for awile leading up to all this wonderful thing that happened. Or was anyone able to come? Ive seen alot of utube coverage from the few peoole i watch and love like you,mark,and a few others...seemed to me there wasnt as many people as i thought was gunna be there,....maybe Traxxas will do somethin....also wishing they"Traxxas or Arrma" would get with these utubers and do somwthing up here by me...Northwest Indiana...wd have all great lakes...boat all over,,we have dunes for drag racing,,a nice local airpirt for drag and planes....come on people make my dreams come true...love the video...

Anyone can go. It attracted a range of KZbinrs, but this was really an Arrma fan appreciation event so put it on your list of places to get to someday. They have one under their belt now and next year should be bigger and better!

I’ve been to a lot of first “big” events. This was a decent turnout in comparison. Especially considering the short notice and it being a holiday weekend most people already had other plans for. They’ll make some tweaks and this thing will continue to get bigger and better.

They used their Spektrum airplane radio system. It has an altitude meter in the receiver. So they’d Zip-tie a powered receiver to the back of each car before the driver “sent it”.
