We have fallen in love with Colombia, the nature, coffee, the culture and music is amazing. Similar to Mexico traveling from one city to another it's a completely different culture and what we like is the afro cultures that we don't get to learn about in Mexico. We do miss tacos but it feels good feel to lose weight haha

@@EatBailaTravel that’s so awesome! Yeah I had heard about the Afro Colombian communities in the southernmost cost of Colombia. I would love to try the coffee, I’ve had Mexican and Salvadoran coffee but not Colombian. It must be so amazing to taste and embrace the culture. So jealous!

Check out around the city of Santa Marta in Colombia (in the Caribbean coast), specifically the “Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta” and “Parque Tayrona”. These are the highest coastal mountains in the world.

Another fine video. I enjoyed a visit to Manizales about 6 years ago (never made it to Cali except for passing through the town's bus station). But you may want to work on your Centigrade/Fahrenheit conversion: 21 C is only 70 F. (I struggle with this all the time and keep a table in a note on my phone, and memorize a couple of significant temperatures. I've learned that my ideal place would basically always be in the 21-28 C range.)

haha yea we suck at converting temperature. What did you think of Manizales, how long were you there? Cali is the salsa capital of the world and colombia's party capital so really it's just a place to party haha. But if you want to swing by while we are here we'll be more than happy to show you around.

@@EatBailaTravel I spent a week in Manizales and I thought it was one of the nicer towns I visited while in Colombia. I did have some problems with insect bites at the place where I was staying (a really attractive B&B on the outskirts of town with a terrific view). Thanks for the offer but it looks like I'll be in Mexico for a while (specifically in La Paz, where the weather is pretty close to perfect right now). I've got a car now, too, though I have to get a TIP form before I can take it much outside of Baja.

My cousin got stabbed, died there in Manizales 5yrs ago, his son got stabbed last week, and is in the hospital this week. I have plenty of family in Manizales, Bogota, and Medellin. My uncle Gabriel also got kidnapped in Medellin last year and taken to a Millionaire ride around town to every ATM after being scoped. 🤷 I'm still looking forward to retirement in Colombia regardless.
