Apologies for getting the name wrong - it's past midnight here in the UK and I'm exhausted! I must have had Megadap Adaptors on my mind! Also, this video is not meant to disparage content creators who DO accept sponsorships: I have nothing against them, it's just not my model. Here's the link to MegaLAG's video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJSXqn9pjrmqjc0

I never tried Honey despite unwillingly watching a ton of adverts about it from many major youtubers. I'm glad you're an honest man and I rarely see any adverts on your videos. You're such a good youtuber that whenever I make a lens purchase, I make sure that I watch your video about that lens, and believe it or not, I purchased literally 8 lenses only this year. RF 16 F2.8, Rf 100-400, Rf 200-800, Samyang 85 EF 1.4 AF, Sigma 150-600C, Sigma 10-18 RF version, EF 70-300 IS 2 nano USM, Ef 50 F1.8. Some for my brother and some for myself. But all of those I made sure to watch your videos before making the final decision. And lens makers should really sponsor you because you are a hugely successful salesman.

Actually I don't think one has to remove the extension. He can just copy the coupon code, and then if one has been found or not go back to the affiliate link, click it, ignore the extension (I hope it's possible since any click poaches the commission from the content creator), paste and apply the coupon code if there was one, and pay

And here I was thinking you where talking about the scandal recently exposed in Germany that a lot of the supposed natural bee honey is actually blended with artificial honey.
@KoenKooi9 сағат бұрын
Not just Germany, there are basically zero checks on ‘eu honey’, so the only way to be sure is to stand next to your local beekeeper. It’s infuriating to hear an official say “we trust the self reporting the companies do”, when has that ever actually worked?
@maggnet48295 сағат бұрын
@KoenKooi I 100% agree. It's the same with processed meat. Politics knows, but the voter wants their honey and can't pay more for it. Thus, they look the other way.

@@christopherfrost Hmm...the lens is the best in its own league.But the Canon R1 is super attractive.Some people (Whistling Wings Photography) recommend the Canon combo.But your choice is the best as you test a lot of gear and as almost everyone doesn't remember is that the lens always comes first and then the camera body should be chosen.

Kudos to you Christopher for keeping your integrity, I have just unfollowed a bunch a great photography content creators because they reviewed Hasselblad camera concluded it was not worth investing in but later accepted an even more expensive limited addition version for free and started making their content with it. I felt this was a disingenuous backdoor way to market to their audience including myself, though I think there a few that agree with me Incidentally, I used to work for restaurant owner that would keep the tips for himself, worse still he would collect the dregs from the drinks tray and top up to a pint for his hardworking staff at the end of night 🤨

This is concerning and since I use this channel as my primary non-micro 4/3 lens resource I want to do everything to support it. I will say that my wife add honey app on our home computer.. and she does not buy things that are driven by influencer sponsorships.. that I'm aware of. When I was looking for a Photoshop/ Lightroom alternative I found On1 interesting and Honey popped up and saved me about 20% off of that purchase... Directly from the ON1 website and not an affiliate.. she also orders her medical supplies from Walgreens in the US occasionally family photos done when we need a quick pick up (1 or 2 hours) and Honey almost always discounts for those products as well... But again this is kind of alarming and I want to make sure those rewards make it to those who need it.. thanks Christopher for the info and happy holidays!!

Christopher, I think you're doing your readers (viewers?) a great service by pointing this out. As might have been printed in some holy book or another: "Yea verily, whenever there is more than one person on the planet, someone is going to try to take advantage of someone else." In these days of computer anonymity, it's exponentially worse. Remember what "The X-Files" taught us? Trust no one. Yeah, it's definitely more of an effort to suspect anyone and anything, but if you're cynical by nature (like I am), I'd just as soon suspect and be proven wrong than be screwed over and be proven right.

Honey from the beginning was unappealing to me as i could bet that it wouldnt work in switzerland anyway that every cheaper alternative it would find was "not delivering" here or had crazy shipping costs... (quiet often 50$ + customs) and... nothing ever is free it just smell'd fishy., If i cant afford smth i dont buy it. That it blows up now does sort of not surprise me in the slightest.
