I honestly don’t understand why you don’t have a million subscribers. You are so thorough in your reviews and tutorials and one of the best influencers out there in my opinion. There aren’t many people out there doing true tutorials anymore and they are very helpful. You do so many wearable looks using colors that would typically be very intimidating. You have also introduced me to so many brands I’ve never heard of or tried before, especially K-beauty from YesStyle.

I don't think you can see a difference but when I bought an ND palette and Alter Ego I think it was the GOLD palette I noticed the biggest difference in wear test. The Alter Ego never stayed on as long as ND and ND was smoother and just looked wonderful at the end of the day. the Alter Ego was indeed beautiful but wore off, smudged etc... so I stopped buying them and just bought the real thing and I am not a makeup snob I don't think but working 2 jobs getting up at 4am and not going to bed until 10pm I need that eyeshadow on all day I never reapply. Mileva, skin prep, such as primer, mixing with concealer, wetting, and setting spray can also make a huge difference with the dupes. Really setting spray may be all you need.

The Alter Ego is lighter and brighter, especially in the pink tone. I like the ND color better but for the price dif I would still get AE.

I’ve been wanting to try alter ego are they good? I know c color cosmetics is really good but I haven’t tried alter ego. C color duped the jeffree star blue palette and they nailed it. Those deep blues were on point there was just one shade that they didn’t nail and that was the deep blue metalic. I was really pleased. I also loved their clover dupe it even came in a cute “too faced” style tin.

Me too! I also seriously cannot support a brand that steals ideas from another brand and everyone seems to legitimise the theft of ND’s original work because she’s a bigger brand. Weren’t these all the same people that supported an obscure brand that claimed ND stole their primer idea, even though the products looked nothing alike? I will never support this brand. I’m fine with somewhat similar color stories, but this is actual copycat in my opinion. I would rather buy ND, who has one of the best formulas in the market than invest in a morally bankrupt brand.

I noticed more differences in this Alter Ego palette and the ND original compared to their other palettes. I own the bronze dupe and the glam dupe as well as the ND palettes, and they are so similar they made me regret spending my money on the ND's!

I disagree about the colors between the Retro Palette and the Harmony Palette. I think that there is more than just a minor difference. The ND palette is more purple whereas the Harmony is more red based and the intensity and smoothness is nowhere near the ND one even with the layering.

Do yourself a favor and try Goose Creek Candles. They blow b&bw candles out of the water and have great sales all the time! Also, after slipping on ice and shattering my knee 2 yrs ago, my go to boot for winter is now a pair of Merrell winter hiking boots with ice proof soles(I now have ptsd whenever I have to walk over any ice patches) so they really help with that

You can definitely see the difference between ND and Alter Ego. I have Retro and she is absolutely stunning. I also literally hate this brand. It’s literally a brand that copy cats another, it’s plagiarism.

I dont understand how you do it. You use a big brush in the outer corner of the eye and move it in circles. Yet the eye shadow forms a V. When I do that it gets blurry and all over the place. Definitely no V here!

I love Alter Ego, as a vegan makeup lover, and I was SO excited when this dropped and bought it right away! It didn’t even occur to me to check the ingredients list, since all their other palettes are vegan, so when I did check and found Carmine, I was DEVASTATED! I don’t understand why they would choose to add Carmine when their entire previous line had been vegan! 😩 I’m heart broken and will be returning it once I receive it. A warning to all you fellow vegan makeup lovers out there excited for a vegan retro dupe: this is NOT VEGAN! 💔😥

I feel like dupe palettes and products are like plagiarism or fake artwork or something. It should not be legal to take someone else's creative ideas and work basically for financial gain. I understand not everyone wants to buy Natasha Denona or can or whatever but idk, it seems shady af. Alter ego should be shut down.
